Public...2 towns of a total of 2500 people in the towns...my highschool has about 60 people in each grade...so about 240 kids...

I think it's pointless but they say its a state law to do drug tests

. Anybody else that lives in the stupid state of Illinois have to go through this?

we dont get any of that at my school. the only time u might eb tested is if your coach for a certain sport thinks you on something

gah...maybe it's just how gay my school is. There is a total of about 6 stoners in my highschool, and everybody knows who they are because they all hang out together and openly admit to doing drugs.

prolly is, cause the only time ive heard someone get tested at our school was when they practically admitted they were using the sh*t. and that was for sports

Highschool aint that great prolly the best times ive had there is during Football season and goin to the games every friday night with everyone... oh march when we start baseball

and searches? lmfao they only do that at alternative schools around here, when you get off the bus you have to be searched. You have to be at a private school.

*EDIT* oh my, and only 250 kids? THe public high school that is near me is at about 3,100 right now. and then the new one that just opened, just enrolled 2,500 estimate for the first year.

There was a drug bust at my school once, with the dogs and everything.

Some kids got in trouble for whatever was found in their lockers. Of course, they opened everyones locker anyway, so why even bring the dogs? I got called to the office for having about 20 handbook/hall pass books in my locker. I had been selling them to people that lost theirs for a few dollars cheaper than the school office did...The staff didn't really care for that it seems.

I can't really say what the best moment I had was. Too many high and low points. And some high points that quickly turned into low ones. Hate it when that happens.

Lock fence so no faculty can get in: check.
Tear up entire lawn: check.
knock down fence w/ truck: check.
bang 2 seniors, and 1 junior: check.
burn gym floor after aquiring keys from a friend that works at the school: check.
get out of school before they catch you: check.
put super glue in the outside door keyholes: check.

well actually we burnt the floor in sophomore year...

Don't get too excited. High school is fun, but not as much fun as you are probably thinking.

Like others have said get involved with things. Clubs and sports are always fun. Make sure to do atleas one sport every year. For me it was golf and basketball. Golf was a fun way to relax with friends, and get a lot of days off from school to go play a round of golf. Practice was just hitting range balls, and playing 9 holes.

Also classes are easy easy easy, but take them seriously. Make sure to stay in all of the advanced and honor classes you can. I made the biggest mistake ever in regard to high school classes. The way my school worked is usually most people took Algebra 2A, 2B and Trig in one year (3 trimesters). I hated my Algebra 2 teacher so I didn't take Trig cause I didn't want to take her class again. So I had to wait until 3rd trimester of my senior year ot take Trig. That was retarded of me since my major ended up being Mechanical Engineering in college. So I did't get to take Calc in high school so in college I started a semester behind. Kind of sucked, but I got over it. That's my short sob story, but the moral is take class seriously which brings me to more advice.

It's never too early to start thinking about college. Think about what you want to major in, and take classes that will help you in that respective field. Most high schools have an off campus career developing school. They offer more in depth classes. For instance I took auto mechanics and welding at mine, but they offered tons of other classes. Nursing, engineering, CAD classes, the list goes on and on. It's a great way to get away from your high school to get into some good classes, and meet people from other high schools. You could also look into taking some classes at a local community college. It all depends on what your high school offers. Look into it, I'm sure they offer a lot of things to do off of campus.

Last but certainly not least...have fun.

Oh ya, and college is 1,000,000,000 times better than high school.

My school is too poor for drug tests or any of that ****. They're completely rebuilding the school and we have to be in trailers.

edit- And all of the faculty on the on campus cops are fat, they can't catch the stoners because they all split so fast and they're out of breath from just walking there.
