exaclty. At my school, you have to have 24 credits to graduate...each class is worth a certain amount of credits (half a credit for each semester). This year I got 8 credits. 2 more years of that = 24 because i filled my schedule.
If i do the same for the next 3 years, I will graduate with 32 credits...which will look great on applications for college.
If you don't push yourself in school and do as much as you can, you will have a ****ty ass low paying job and live in a shack with your wife and your 6 kids.
If you work hard now, you will be rewarded in the future, slack off...and you will regret it for the rest of you life...that is unless you dont care if you have no money and like living in a house the size of a storage shed.
The only time I would slack off in school and not give a damn if I didn't have a job, was if my parents/grandparents were filthy rich and I was waiting for them to die to get money from their will...but I am not that sick and demented.

colleges dont look at credits..... they are usually inconsistent between schools, along with the fact u get a a credit for 12 grade advanced english, along with freshman basic arithmetic....
they look at GPA's, test scores (SAT and crap), and sometimes extra carricular stuff like clubs/sports...

i couldnt go to that link you posted....
But anyway, i could care less the quality of the students. Im not there for them, i know its a quality school, even if the students arent. And one reason the SAT score may be low.... is nobody around here takes it. Its all ACT around here. I honestly only know 2 or 3 people that have taken it.

School is lame.
Yes, I do have a lot of friends and yes I do go out to a lot of places, but school is still lame. Sure you can have fun with your friends and crap like that, but school is still doing work most of the time, and it's still lame.
My first highschool memory was finding out it wasn't that hard.

Freshman year I first started messin around with green and other shizzle; interesting. Don't close your mind to other things, it can be a learning experience.
I have friends in alot of groups which is nice. You learn alot from other cultures. Don't be afriad to hang out with the wierdos at lunch or whatever; it can be enlightening.
My Fav high school memory is prolly hanging out with people during exams and walking to wilson farms and stuff... ((during midterms you can leave the school and walk around; there's a wilson farms 1/4 mile down the road where every1 walks to))good times.
Basically, experience new things and hang out with the losers; they'll be alot cooler to hang with than the jocks.

at my school (waubonsie valley, fenix_freak have you heard of it?) we have lots of people, were reaching it's capacity of 8,000 and we already have a second high school in the district both with it's own freshmen campus and main campus. and we're adding a 3rd high school in the district. and the freshmen and sophomores can only go to prom if they have a date with a junior or senior.
