Us decision to change daylight saving times. What do you think?

I guess it's being done to cut down on energy consumption in the evenings.
Im not really sure I understand how itd help though..

lol, they aren't eliminating it, just changing it.
They are working it out so that it will be lighter in the evening more, therefore we would be using as much artifical light in later hours. Makes sense I guess.

Though it does get dark around 9:00 here....I think thats a fine time. I personnally think it should be like that all the time.

the one article says about black ice. I think that would be a big problem here. Northern canada and central canada has MEAN winters and having people driving to work in the dark and icey roads isnt too good. Northern states have some hard winters too.

I live 5 minutes(literally about 2 and a half if even) away from Illinois... and all of my friends. The Northwest tip of indiana is ceneral time... but the rest of Indiana is eastern. There was talk of us changing to eastern.... that would ****ing suck ass. I would be hanging out with all of my friends and have an hour time difference inbetween me and them. It would cause so many problems... :-(

I hate daylight savings time. I have to keep reset all of my clocks Also, I lose an hour of sleep... (Who really cares about that hour gained?  |

you only lose or gain an hour of sleep the one day......thats 2 days out of the year.
