**** Lactic Acid
God damn, just got done with a rough trainer session. Damn lactic acid. You guys think Potassium now will help or is it not gonna make a difference?

lol, I find myself thinking that at times too.
Potassium just helps with cramps doesn't it? I don't think it does anything to flush away/stop production of lactic acid. As far as I know the only way to help with lactic acid is to do some training to boost your bodies tolerance of hard physical activity.

Thats the kind of training I do at the trainer. Its plyometrics and that kinda crazy ****. Potassium usually helps with getting water to your muscles, so I figured if theres more water it'll help flush it out. I just ate a banana, I'll see how my theory works.

lay on your back and have some one grab your feet by the ankles and have them shake your feet side to side so all the muscles in your legs jiggle. then lay like that against a wall for about 10 minutes watching tv or reading or something. helps drain the lactic acid and feels so good. a scottish coach taught me that at a soccer camp. :

Pottassium is mainly used to get nuttrients absorbed. Thats really what it does and what its manly used for. So eat a bannana and drink water afterwords or milk. And in the morning eat cereal with a bannana in it. Trust me

I used to always get a charlie horse in my right leg in the last 3 mins of every soccer game of mine, like it was clockwork, no matter what I would get it.
But then I started taking potassium pills every morning and I rarely get cramps anymore.

Lactic acid isn't really what accounts for most of your soreness... it's microscopic tears in the muscle fiber.

It wasn't sore, it was the actual burn still. The soreness is easily cured with my protein I take after I work out.
