If you are gonna get creatine....dont get just plain creatine monohydrate.
Get creatine ethyl ester. c-monohydrate is not readily absorbed by your muscles so it sits there, which is the "creatine bloat". c-ethyl ester is a more readily absorbed kind of creatine that will be more efficient and help you out a lot better.
But if you are seeing no difference with protein, you need to improve your workout, the form of your exercises. You need to slow down and not worry abotu how much weight you do, but instead concentrate on burning that muscle. A major slowdown for lots of people is they do as much weight as they can, thinking more weight=more muscle. This is wrong, cuz you put strain on your tendons, ligaments and bones. By using lesser weight and going slower(and concentrating on the negative) you will shock your muscles and gain muscle better that way.

he's been looking into creatine suppliments and gave me this site to look at cuz i questioned him about it www.absolute-creatine.com
i told him to ask his physician anyway cuz it looks kinda fishy to me

it works but u have to drink a ****-load of water....then when u stop drinking the water u just piss all of your muscles away. So in conclusion, it works as long as u keep drinking water

yeah monohydrate is just waterweight. it doesnt help you gain as much muscle mass. itll only put on pounds. itll also dehydrate you really quick so be sure to drink plenty of water.

SHOCKER and Throttle....
You guys are wrong. Shocker, your statement is just ridiculous, so i wont even address it.
Throttle, monohydrate is not just waterweight. Creatine monohydrate is a form of energy that your muscles use, which allows you to work your muscles harder and longer. This in turn creates more microtears and damage to your muscles. When they heal, they will heal even better and stronger than if you werent taking creatine.
Learn what you are talking about before you speak.

Probably one of the best workout oriented posts ive seen in a long time. People want to see results right away. But lifting is a LONG process to see results. If it wasnt hard to attain, everyone would be huge.

I've tried Creatine ethyl esther for 3 cycles, and it just didn't feel right. I feel better when I just stick to my whey protein after a workout and multivitamins. I've been thinking about trying Pyruvate. Its in the Krebs cycle, and based on what I learned in Bio AP last year, if I increase the Pyruvate, I'll increase my ATP levels... Think it'll work.

I was on Creatine Monohydrate for a period of about 3 months.
Over that period, I gained no wait, nor lost any. My reps increased at the same rate they have seemed to always have. My max weight went up it's usual amount. This could mean I'm one of the %20 of all Creatine users who do not respond to it. Even after intensifying my workout, Creatine didn't seem to make a difference.

there are lots of factors that affect strength and muscle gains.
sleep, nutrition, form, mixing up your workouts, intensity level, form, working to failure, overtraining.....it goes on.
each and every one has a profound effect.
Caffeine negates the effects of creatine as well. While intaking caffeine muscle gainage is not as high as it normally owuld be
