Well I have $25 gift certificate to blow on something at Micro Center and i'm gunna choose a new sound card. Can someone tell me what kind of sound car a stock Intel Celeron(R) CPU 2.60 GHz/480 MB of Ram has?

Do you realy need a sound card? how bad is onboard sound?

25 bucks wont get u anything better than what you have. good sound card start at 100 bucks.

Well mine isn't bad at all just I want some more outputs and I don't have anything else better to buy. I do have a CA 3 piece sound system hooked up to my computer so i'm not using the stock speakers.

while on the topic......sry to take ur thread but i had to ask. when im doin nething with sound on my comp it will like get reeeeally fuzzy and the music will be playing but its a really loud static noise. then it will stop. idk what it is. my mom thinks its the sound card.
