I want to get my ear pierced, or both. I told my mom a few years ago and she refused to let me get it done. Now im 16, 17 in feb and I still want it done. Any suggestions on what to counter if she says no? BTW, no father so its just the mom I gotta con.

PS: I want it done because I dont have any piercings yet and I want something to make myself different.

Fly to Alabama, it's legal there to get piercings and tattoos at any age w/o parents' consent.

My ex-gf went there with some friends and got her belly button pierced (she was 14 at the time).

Here, Alabama is where everybody goes to get piercings, because they don't require parents' consent.

I personally know of two 15-year-olds who got their nipples pierced there, and I'm pretty sure their parent's didn't condone that.

According to the law, the state of Alabama Prohibits anyone from performing a tattoo, brand or body piercing on a minor unless prior written informed consent is obtained from the minor's parent or legal guardian.

if a shop preforms body mods on an underage client with out parent or leagal guardians concent they must be pretty shady and i would stay away from those types of places

and are you just wanting to get regular 20g (standard earing size) or are you wanting to get it pierced in a bigger gauge

basicly a no. she refers to it as "putting holes in my face". then something about "doesnt having a pericing mean your gay", "every guy with piercings is a freak" & "why cant you be normal?"

just say it doesnt matter...you can take it out and it will heal back and junk..ask her if shed rather you get a tattoo..which is permanent..?try it?

lol tried the "if i dont like it ill just let it cose up" idea, she said "then whats the point of getting it done?". Ill see what i can do.
