Watch the kick again, he clipped the dirt, that's why he missed.
Also McNabb just needs to sit out the rest of the season and get everything fixed up. This season is blown as it is (unless Detmer or McMahon pull something out) so there is no point at making it all worse.
That's just my theory on it...

Akers bang's em in from 60 in pregame all the time i had hope....
Donovans problem his whole career is pushing the play too much. Last 3 games, superbowl and 2 nfc championships have been lost cause of late INT's

He just needs a little more experience, that's all. He's finally using the running game, and finally learning to not take so many risks passing. What happened was his fault yea, but you can't really jump on the guy, it was an honest mistake. It's just a shame it happened so late in the game.

I would rather see Detmer get more playing time to tell you the truth. Considering all he's doing now is holding the ball for Akers. McMahonn does have a better arm, but he's 3rd string for a reason. lol. Besides, he only did like 3 plays, there is nothing to base his ability on really with this team.

but he isnt going to get any better sitting on the bench. maybe split the rest of the games between them and see if one of them can rise up and become somewhat valuable

Very true, but every team needs a backup. If not, you have what we had earlier this year with Akers getting hurt. I just think Detmer can do more than hold the ball for Akers, i think i'm the only person that has faith in him, but the way he played with our first string was pretty decent considering he never gets playing time.
Next week should be interesting to say the least. Have faith!!!
Oh, and never say TO should come back, seriously guys he was destroying the team from the inside. I haven't seen the Eagles play that well in a long time this past week.

You don't wanna see detmer in there on sunday agaisnt strahan it will get ugly quick. Koy detmer is a back up qb for life he will never be a starter. MM has starting potential. He could have taken the lions to playoffs if they weren't in love with Joey..
