Why? because he's respected?
I mean he pretty much said the same thing most everyone has in this thread only he made it into a nice neat list.

Believe it or not... relationships involve more things than just having sex.
Do you think you can hold a steady relationship just because your hot enough to get her to take her pants off? All ya 12 year olds need to realize this. I know a few older, mature guys who still haven't figured this out.
Its getting pathetic too. My bro and his friends talk about how they're "going steady" with a girl because they've been "officially" together for 72 hours, and she/he gave him/her a hug.

It used to be funny... until I realized that my bro and his friends were serious... then it became straight up pathetic.

I hope it doesn't matter that it's been about 8 days since this thread was last posted in.
Anyways, I posted this in a seperate thread, but then I realized that this thread was here and I can probably get a more mature answer in here.
Long story short, there's a girl who I met last summer, and we are incredibly good friends. We talk about everything and are completely comfortable with each other. She had a boyfriend, but they're not doing too well and I have the feeling they're going to break up soon.
We've "discussed" going out before, and she brought up the point that if we ever did go out, she'd be afraid to ever break up because it would end our friendship. Even so, for the last few months I've wanted to take this whole "relationship" further.
I really don't know whether it's worth the risk to ask her out and let her know that I want to take it very slow and see how things work out. If it ever comes to an end, I want our friendship to stay the same.
What do you think I should do?
And don't tell me to ask her/my friends, I already have and they have no idea what the hell I should do either. I want a random 3rd party opinion here.

I've attempted to get it through a girls head...nothings going to end ****ty if you don't let it.
Majority of the time if I don't talk to the girl after we stop dating it's because she was a *****.
Pretty much all is well as long as shes not a *****. :P

I've got a long story behind my question, but I'm not in the mood to type it all, so I'll get right down to the point. I made out with this girl, then I come to find out that she's 2 years younger than me (She's 14 and I'm 16), and that we're related. Not very closely, and related by marriage several times, but still related. She's my dad's sister's husband's mother's 2nd cousin's great-niece, if you can follow that.
Did I cross some sort of line at any point?

That's reassuring. Now I don't feel like an incest-loving redneck. Because I enjoyed every second of it, related or not.

Yea dont worry about it. As long as its not blood relatives its fine. But here in Ky even though most are red necks, incest is not an everyday thing like some people may think.

It's a moral issue, and everyone has their own views on it.
Go with what you feel.
