IU in state is like super easy to get in, but I'm not sure about out of state so I can't help you much with that.

you wont get into osu with that. osu is VERY hard to get into now due to like 1/3rd of the nation (blown out of proportion, but u get the idea) applies there. the school is extremely selective, has amazing engineering, finance and business programs and the best agricultural school in the nation. its also a top 25 lawschool and i believe its top 10 med schools. with a 980 you will be extremely lucky if you get in (you better have amazing grades and lots of extra ciriculars)
btw, u can probably get into indiana, everyone gets into indiana

I'm also applying to IUB. Good luck though. You SAT's will definitely hurt you when it comes to applying to schools. Are you taking them again this weekend or anytime soon?

nah im done with the SATs.. took them twice, did worse the 2nd time..
took the ACTs and did bad also.
yeah i know its going to hurt because of SATs.. i have an 85-87 GPA, taking basically all college classes, and i got a bunch of stuff for extra curricular. work experience, i guess i'd have to re-write an essay..
yeah im looking at the osu application, i think it might be harder than it looks.. i wish i got like an 1100 on the SAT.. if i just got that i wouldn't even be concerned about schools im applying to.
i mean ive spoken to alot of admissions people, they always encourage applying anyway based on the fact that SATs aren't the only factor in admissions.. especially if your gpa and other transcript and resume is pretty decent

1100 is still kinda weak for osu's standards. my neighbor got over a 1200 and she didnt even get into the main campus. then again, she is in a very flooded major (communications, meh). its getting harder and harder yearly to get in to osu. im applying to grad school there and ill be lucky to get into their finance program

well im also applying undecided.. i mean yeah im sure if i applied to a specific school that would make it alot harder..
im going to ask my guidance counselor tomorrow if she thinks if it's worth applying or not.. im just really like unsure.
collegeboard website said it accepts about 72% of the applicants, not to mention the out-of-state acceptances are probably alot higher than in-state.
i've already finished applying to:
SUNY buffalo
SUNY cortland
SUNY oneonta
towson university
i was looking at other out-of-state schools, and i showed my mom indiana, and i was pleasantly suprised to hear her sound excited about the campus, programs, etc. see originally she just said no its too expensive, but she's reconsidered so im pretty into it now.. plus my guidance counselor reccomended it.
ohio i know someoen who went there it sounded really fun, the college itself i heard is awsome, and they have a HUGE variety of majors. i'm 100% going into college undecided, so im not worried about applying to certain college majors
she's really honest and open and extremely helpful, i think if she said 'go for it' that means i have a chance. obviously if she just says no ill throw that out the window. i could always transfer if i REALLY wanted to go there while im at another school also..

it never hurts to apply. the best decision i ever made was to NOT go in undecided. saved me a lot of time, trouble and work. i went in as an electrical engineering even though i didnt know exactly what i wanted to do. but if u truely are clueless then go in undecided. im just warning you its gonna be hard to get into the college you do want to study in once u decide, and you will probably be behind a little. my advice is to go into the hardest field you might be interested in so all or most of the credits transfer once u decide what u want

If you're interested in business at all IU is great for that, as well as Law. IU is a great school, but its easy to get into. I kind of want to go somewhere else out of state, but I want to stay close to home, and IU is only a 3 hour drive. Plus they have IU basketball which is amazing, and then IU football which is worth it just for tail gating, their Men's soccer team is usually very good, plus its only around 14,000 a year. I'll probably end up at IU in a business or Poly Sci major. I'm not sure what I want to do really, but I've got this year and next to decide.

indiana is like an 11-14 hour drive from long island.. buffalo is a 7 hour drive, and my brothers done that many times.. its not that bad if you just have some good tunes, a good nights rest and the patience to sit for 11 hours.. i love driving anyway infact i would almost look forward to that

gotyea. if u do any of those majors you better atleast minor in something. i would double major for sure, especially in poli-sci and sociology. there really isny much you can do with a poli-sci major unless u go to grad/lawschool. i have a lot of friends that are poli-sci and all are double majoring. a few in business, 2 in english, and i know one is doubling is spanish
