Sound that old people cant hear, used for ringtones during school
I know this is old news but i just came across this. Its a noise that teens can hear but older people cannot hear for some reason. I just played it very loud in front of my parents and neither of the could hear it, it actually works.

Yea but they messed up on the design. My mom couldn't hear it until she put it right up to her ear.

We messed around with this stuff last year. Most of my teachers last year were able to hear it. My old earth science teacher freshman year was able to hear it and she's in hear late 40s-early 50s.

1.) That's what vibrate is for.
2.) If you have to hide your ringtone in school, you probably shouldn't be using your phone in school anyways.

Wait, h/o... in the video, when they did the noise, was there supposed to be a tune or something? All I heard was some wierd tone but it wasn't music or anything... I hope I'm not going deaf

It depends on what king of volumes your used to.
Like if you're like me I listen to a lot of loud things. Am around concerts and have ear phones in my ears on full blast when I'm not in my car with the subs kickin my ass. Your ear drum gets stretched out and cant vibrate as well when your older or if your subject to lots of loud noises.
I havent tried this one yet but the one that was on the commercials I couldnt hear at all.

I really dont see the point in this tone. If I were to put the volume up on my phone, obviosuly knowing it was going to make noise, the last thing I would want to hear is this annoying high pitched wistle. Even if im in class, I rather feel my phone vibrate once, then piss everyone off with this stupid tone.
A kid in my math class had it on his phone and it went off once, odd enough the teacher, in his mid 50's atleast, picked it right up.
