Anyone travel?
How many of you have ever traveled? I'm not talking about hopping on a plane and flying to some tourist destination or driving a day or two to get to a hotel. I'm talking about packing up a truck or small camper with gear and just driving.
For me, the road is a calling. By age 10 I had been to all US states (except Alaska and Hawaii). I've scaled mountains, hiked mountains, and dangled my legs on the rim of the grand canyon.
And I want to go back. Bad.

Yes. I've had more time in the air, and in a car than anybody in my family (except my dad, who I was always with). I've been to all continental US states. Hell, when my dad was stationed at Lakenheath RAFB in England, I was visiting in the summer and we took a ferry across the english channel and drove across europe. We ended up in Italy and stayed for like a week.
I love travelling.. I hope to do much much more of it.

i've been to 39 of the states, includeing all of the states boardering the oceans, canada and mexico.
road trips are the best dude, i plan to buy a camper as soon as i get filthy rich (long way off lol)
buy yeah dude, my favorite trip i've ever been on was a 2 week long camping trip where we drove around the four corners states (new mexico, colorado, arizona, and utah)
I saw barren deserts with indian reservations, huge dust devils
I saw the grand canyon and the mesa verde
I saw high snow capped mountains and monument vally
and to top it all off, i spent a week backpacking in philmont
it completely changed my life. IMO
i learned the value of being outdoors and away from home for extended periods of time
and how it can show you new outlooks on things
I cant wait to do something like this again.
Hopefully, i'll be able to save up enough and take some good friends in college on a trip like this.

eh' not really a lot of 'just traveling' for me. i've wanted to a few times... like now - but i have a big family and we've never really had the opportunity.
don't get me wrong, i have gone around most of the u.s. and i've seen almost all of the states, but i've never been camping or spending the time out in the wild to come to appreciate what we really have in america.
once again, don't get me wrong, i do appreciate america - but i know it has so much more that i've not gotten to see... and to be honest, i really want to on occasion.
also, i want to be able to see more countries outside of america sometime soon...

Ive been to... 10 states I think. We drove to Florida and then drove to the east coast of Canada taking the american way. Other than that, ive never left canada or the states.
However, I'm getting my passport this fall (as I'll need it in 2008 to go to the states, and actually I need it right now if I tried to fly in to the states)But I plan on going to Costa Rica during either my christmas break or right after winter semester. I would be back packing. Im excited.

This is something I've always wanted to do.
I plan on purchasing one after college at some point, once I have a steady source of income with expendable money to spare.

Me and my grandpa packed up his van and just drove about 3 summers ago.
The only places we stayed were at truck stops.
Somehow ended up in Portland, Oregon.

Well.. I've been to a handful of states, and a couple different countries.
Indiana (I've seen all of it..)
Illinois
Ohio
Kentucky
Georgia
California
Michigan
Pennsylvania
New York
Texas
Those are all of them I can remember.. I've probably flown over 30 states or so.
I've also been to Cozumel and Cancun, Mexico. As well as Germany 2 times.
I'd love to go to more places. I am considering moving to Spain for a summer next year or the year after. (San Sabastion)
