yeah, I did this survey for the Student Housing Services at my university. If you did the survey you were automatically entered into a draw for either an ipod video, one of two nanos, or one of three shuffles.

I got an email last night telling me congrats for winning an ipod video.
Naturally I didnt believe it and almost passed it off as spam, but then I saw that it was from the housing services and it seemed legit... so I hiked out to the housing services office and told them i apparently won an ipod and the secretaries got all excited and handed me the video saying I won the top prize. They were pumped about it haha..

anyways.. it's a white 30 gig iPod Video. I've always hated iPods and refused to ever get one. Kind of ironic.

I dont know whether to sell it or keep it though.

heck, if you have any use for it, just remember it was free, why not keep it?

you're not going to make as much money as it's worth if you sell it, and heck - even though everybody has one - it's still nice to have.

i use mine when i'm running or exercising - that's it. so i'm sure if you decide to keep it you'll have/fond a reason for it.

but on the other hand, you could sell it and get something you really want.

i'd sell it and make pure profit b/c i got it for free. I've always got a need for money at college.

yeah, im pretty undecided.. I have never wanted one, and have never felt the need for one. I mean Ive lived 19 years comfortably without one.. so its not like I need it at all..

But they are kind of cool..

and the money id make from selling it I could make from two days of work in the summer.

Wow, two whole days. Just keep it. Don't hate iPods because all the trendwhores have them. They're nice pieces of electronics. Plus if it breaks I'll fix it for you.

Selling it just because everyone has one is kind of the "conforming non-conformist" attitude. It was free, just keep it.

That's what I mean, I can make the same amount of money in only two days.. so it's not like it'd be giving me that much of a boost in money. Then again, it would be nice to have some money to make up for the spending ive done while at school when i havent been working. My net gain right now is not a gain at all. That's not why I'd be selling it at all. I'd be selling it because I can always use money and because I have no real use for it. Like I can very easily live without it. That being said, it is kind of neat.

If it was a nano, Id get rid of it in a second. It's the video part that interests me.

I'd keep it. They are nice things to have. You'll find that you'll be glad you kept it after you have songs and videos on it.

I would keep it, personally, and sell the 5GB mp3 player that I have now for $50 or so.

yeah. I just have a little 256Mb mp3 player. Or is it 512? I think it's 256. So no re-sale on that. Id probably give it to my brother or his fiance.
