had my wisdom teeth taken out today
pretty interesting experience. first "surgery" for me. the oral surgeon dude (pretty cool guy actually) gave me some laughing gas and it took a little while to kick in. like, it felt like i was just breathing air for a while, then evertyhing got all slow and **** and i coudln't feel my heart beating (heart was beating pretty hard..reflex for sitting in a dentist chair). then he gave me an IV, and the next thing i know one of the lady doctors was guiding me in the hallway to a couch where i slept for a good hour while she explained to my dad how to treat everything.
didn't get to keep the teeth. they had to get chopped up to get them out.
went through so much guaze and bled like mad for a while. one of the stitches came out already on the lower left and started bleeding again and spent like 10 minutes with my mouth open over the sink letting it drip.
got like 30 percocets. first dose i had 2 but got really sick to my stomach so i'm sticking to 1 every 3 hours. doesn't make the pain go away but for a good hour i feel sooo relaxed. i got 1 picture of me like right after i woke up, deciding if i'm gonna post it or not lol.
not as bad as an experience as i thought.
lounge seems kinda slow so i just thought i'd post it up.
who else gets theirs out soon?

you ever go deep sea fishing and get a fish on the boat thrashing around spilling blood everywhere, and after a while the plasma or something goes away and the red blood cells condense turning it to jelloey nastyness? that's what it looked like when draining my mouth. and the gauz just turned dark red/dried up blood red but completely soaked.
not gonna post that nastyness. lol.

yeah i got mine out like 8 in the morning yesterday, left the place around 10:30ish and i was still bleeding with gauze until 4-5 PM. after you stop bleeding the hard parts over. just don't play with the stitches with your tounge because they WILL come out. learned that one the hard way.

oh don't worry about it. the recovery is sort of a pain but hey, an excuse to lay around the house for a couple days.

Ouch, I hear that when you have to get them cut out it hurts a lot more than getting them pulled. I had a root canal so dental things don't really bother me anymore.

Getting mine taken out went so well. I didn't even need stitches. I ate as soon as I got home. When I woke up everyone was trying to help me stand up but I felt fine and could walk perfectly fine and everyone trying to stand me up just threw me off balance.
