I did the same thing on my first Calc 3 exam. Missed a passing grade by 1 point....which I had, I had messed up 1 sign on an answer and bang, there went the point.

I failed an entire stat course, does that count?
Seriously though, I find tests in higher level college courses to be harder than high school/early college tests on average. In high school and early college courses, they often design the test so that the class average should fall around a "C". Whereas, in the upper levels of college most tests, in my experience, are designed so that the class average sits around a high "F" to low "D". I used to be able to study an hour or so before class and get an A or B. The last test I tried that on got me a 60%....the class average was a 62%. Oh, and there was no curve. It depends on the class, but when I was taking 100/200 level courses my GPA was around a 3.4. Now, after taking all these 400 level courses, it's down to a 2.9.

I got a 75% on my Wireless final. And I got an 80% on the midterm.
Still got an A for the class though. Cantenna project = 5 points on your final grade. Wound up with a 91, and an A is a 90+.

I've found with the higher math classes, its all about just being able to do all the homework, and all the other problems in the book. My prof for calc2 and calc3 would pull problems that weren't assigned to see if we were really working for that A.

Today we learned the average for the calc 3 exam was a 67% (we held the high) other sections where in the 50%s.
My favorite was my calc 2 class had over 50% of the people in it failing with Ds and Fs.

Somehow I managed to do not so well on an exam yesterday. I hope I don't do horribly, but it's my fault if I do.
Also, I get to take the full AP world history test today.
