people are crazy....
hey guys, been awhile since i been back....well whole reason i made this thread is because my boy got shot tonight, 8 freakin times. now dont get me wrong he wasnt like my best friend but he was a damn good dude, 19..playin football in college. now i know there were other factors involved that go against the forum rules but you can prolly guess what they were.
but after i heard the news i just sat down and was jammin to some pac when i realized that the music u listen to (regularly) does effect your mentality and how you act.
think about it, most people that listen to country are pretty laid back, enjoy a good chew and a beer. hard-rockers are usually partying, rebellious. old rock (zeppelin, doors, ect..) laid back, usually smoke, rebellious. and rap is pretty evident. you guys agree? comments? suggestions?
/discuss
btw: sorry if im ramblin or if it doesnt make a whole lot of sense im sorta lost at the moment.

Hmmm, interesting. Yea, I'd say music really does reflect quite well upon the type of person you are.

the music doesnt affect you.. you gravitate to music that satisfies your personality and taste.
The mentality comes first, then the music. not the other way around.

The thing I love about stereotyping people is that its so fun and easy.

Oh man, I'm the same way.
I hate it though when the person so easily follows the sterotypes I think they fit in. It's disappointing to see someone so unoriginal.

I do beleive though that kids tend to follow parents cause thats what they are growing up as. I listened to like pop and R&B for the longest time cause i was always with my mom, and now im listening to rock cause ive been hanging with my dad. Also i know a lot of people around me are hicks and listen to country which shows in the parents and kids.

While that may be true for a small portion of your listening just about every kid out there really gets into music around highschool and either starts drawing off the popular media, their friends, or the internet for bands.

Dont agree at all.
I listen to heavy **** all the time and I'm probably one of the most laid back people you'll ever meet. Along with all of the guys I hang out with. I enjoy just chilling out having a beer and just kickin it with some friends up here at my apt.

im not trying to stereo type people, in fact i do my best not to stereo type. and there will of course always be exceptions, hell i listen to almost literally every single kind of music. im just saying that it can have an impact on the type of person you are ( in a way)

oh you mean like "YOU'RE MY BOY BLUE!!" man i feel stupid.
Music can effect you. When i drove my siblings to school, I'd notice aggression from them at home if i listened to certian music ont eh way to school and back, it was interesting.
