So if you haven't been to the auto section recently you wouldn't know that I just picked up a 93 cherokee with a 4.0. The thing has 2" lift on the suspension and 31" tires. I'd say it's a nice rig for some simple offroading. I got it registered this morning. I took it to the beach first thing, and then on the way home I was like I need to find some mud. I went to a place where the locals go and the trouble started. I found a little mud hole and drove around in it a bit, and got the thing a little dirty. The hole was pretty small so I wanted to get something to cover the truck in. Now, I didn't realize off-roading took some experience as I went into this. I almost put the thing in a river, and into a nice telephone pole. But anyway, as I drive away from the hole, some dude is tailgating the **** outta me. I was like what the **** so I pull over into this little drive way looking thing (still unpaved) and he follows me. I started to freak out so I found a spot in the dirt big enough to u-turn, and as I do, he blocks me off.

This asshole gets out of his truck and starts *****ing at me about trespassing. I learn he is a firefighter, and he takes down my info. He called the owner and the owner came out. He told the owner I was doing donuts on his land. That was complete bull****, but I kept my mouth shut. The cops show up, I get *****ed at for having 4 passengers with a license that currently only allows me my sister. The cops talk to me and I tell them what happened. The spot that I was parked on was that guys lawn. The offroading I did was a city street. We figured it all out and the guy got my info, and if he finds tire tracks matching mine, then I get in trouble. I didn't do anything though so I know im all good. I got off with a little infraction but I didn't get a ticket because the guy didn't put up no trespassing signs. Basically, if I didn't turn down that one dirt path, I would have been legally okay. My lesson: don't get afraid of someone tailgating you.

TD;DR: went offroading, 5-0 called, fireman was a dick, cops were cool, got let off with a slap on the wrist.

The cop was probably only cool with it because you were treading on a fireman's property.

I must set you straight on your thread title. Cops>firemen, but not on a scene the fire fighters are called out to. Such as, I can block a road and not let a popo get through, take pictures, talk to people, get out of his car, and anything. Same thing with civillians and EMT's, etc...

But usually we get along pretty good and don't have to use our force.

haha when i saw the title it reminded me of the movie The Departed when there playing rugby cops verse firemen and all the cops are like... thoose firemen are bunch of pussies!..yea go save a kitten in a tree haha

This wasn't the fireman's property. It was his friends. But what pisses me off is that I didn't even do **** on this guys land, I didn't even want to be there. I was playing by the rules until he pretty much forced me to pull over onto this guys land.

You shoulda showed him who's boss. Slapped a ho. Unless it is a fire scene,car wreck, or they are doing traffic control he cant tell anybody anything. Except call in teh police.

Of all the cops and firemen I've met the cops seem to be the ones with the highest per capita amount of dickhead. I've met some really nice cops though.

Yeah I know what you mean. I've met a few really nice guys, but a few complete dicks. I saw a cop today drive on the other side of the road to pass me without lights on or anything. Maybe he was trying to be sneaky?

I thought I posted my update already. Anyway, I took a day off. Yesterday I was out for more, this time making my own path in a wood around here. It had a one nice hole but thats about it. So I left and came back today right after it rained, but it didnt make a difference. It just poured and its like midnight, well i guess 1 now. I will go back tomrrow because there should be plenty of mud to play in. This time I will take a shovel and some plywood to stick under my tires. Probably a rope too, just in-case I get stuck.
