I'm not around enough nowadays to know what you did, but props for apologizing. If it's sincere, it shows he has some measure of class and you can't hate on that.
Internet or not, just leave him alone. Hell, I know people in college and high school that are too prideful to admit their mistakes and apologize. Even on this forum.
It's water under the bridge, just act with class and you'll be fine from here on out.
