yeah it makes for some pretty hardcore suckage. I don't remember the wreck at all, last thing I remember is leaving the burger joint we had all stopped at up there in the hills. Some guy on a Z1000 and I were apparently haulin ass, he was in front. For some reason he took a bad line and ended up off the road, and I must have fixated on him rather than just looking through the turn and making it (it tends to happen to the best of us, it's extremely hard to keep focused on the road when somebody immediately in front of you is crashing) cuz I followed him off the road. The only difference is he ended up down in the dirt and pine needles, I think they said I high sided and I ran into a metal gate, thus breaking my leg. The first thing I remember after the burger joint is being in the hospital, and they were putting this brace thing on my leg. It went up into my crotch between my junk and my thigh, and all the way down to my ankle. They had to pull and twist my leg to set the bone back in place for the most part, and I was screaming in absolute agony (and that's after they'd given me painkillers). One of the nurses told me to stop screaming because there were other people in the room . The on call surgeon wasn't answering his calls so I got to wait a day to have surgery with this damn brace on me. Went into surgery and got the rod and screws, no cast necessary. I got these instead
That top scar is where they opened it up for the rod. It's about 2.5/3" long. And yes, that's the side of my hip/ass you're looking at

I remember hearing some professional racer mention that looking at some guy go off course is that last thing you want to do b/c you'll be right along after him.

I was going to get into law enforcement, but then decided against it. I'm not perfect enough for any of them, so **** it. I'm just continuing school, hoping to get done what classes I can here at city college, then go to CSU Monterey Bay for the rest of the classes toward my major (Biology)

I've been trying to put weight on my leg, trying to kinda walk, but it's still super painful. I was trying to walk up the steps (instead of just hopping like normal) from the den to the living room today, and it was so painful I had to sit there for a minute recovering. I am able to, however, stand on both feet comfortably. As long as I don't put too much weight on the bad leg I can balance. I can finally shower without having the crutches in with me lol

Don't you have a brace of some sort to wear? Regardless, take it easy. You don't want to mess it up again.

A brace would still help for now though. Help take a little pressure off of it.

what would it brace against though? it's not side to side movement that hurts, it's the weight I put on it that it hasn't supported for about 6 weeks. Not only is it the break site that hurts, but also my knee and hip joints are all kinds of stiff and hurting

You'll loosen up over time. It takes a while for knees and ankles to release sometimes.
