Yeah I have it pre-ordered for 360, the store I went to (not even in a big area) had ~450 pre-orders of the thing. That's pre-orders. Meaning, there will be more than 450 people in that parking lot, waiting for the game to come out. They are actually keeping the store open and letting the pre-order people buy their game before 12, then you just have to show them your receipt after 12 to get the actual game. In, out, done. Should be a nice little party

A guy on pbnation played it offline for a few days. Then he hooked his xbox back online to play Forza or some crap, and he got this...

I would imagine that if anyone gets in trouble it would be the stores that sold them early.
If they really wanted to prosecute they could get both the buyer and seller. In this case it would be the same as the buyer purchasing "stolen" goods. It may not technically be stolen goods, however, you know you shouldn't have the game until the 10th, but you still pursued to buying it.
But I doubt they would ever go after a customer like that. It would paint such a bad image on the company it would probably cause more damage than good.

I know what you mean, but logically they should go after the store, as the customer couldnt get it without them.
However as you posted above, they do seem to be taking this semi- seriously. I heard that this update banned ~500k xboxs. And alot of them were for playing other games prerelease, so id be careful.
If its a rumor, is a great rumor that has a lot of legitimacy. People are saying game stop in the north east US are selling the game early. Such as Pittsburgh and NY.

Goddamn I'm not even getting the game until I can find a used copy for like $40. I've never owned COD4 or WAW but I just picked up WAW for $15 so I can kind of get the hang of Call Of Duty. I have fun playing COD4 so I'm pretty excited getting MF2. I've always been a Halo guy, but I think I have more fun with Halo cause I always have a positive K/D and basically just rape people.
pittsburgh? I wish. i have a pre-order, but no matter where I go, they won't sell me the actual game. I think it's mainly knowing the right people: I talked to one of my friends who works at best buy, he has a copy that he's picking up tomorrow morning.

Game is ****ing sick. Got pics of the midnight launch, will post them up later. by my reckoning, there was about 240-300 ppl standing in line, it was one of the smaller stores. the one my brother in law went to had close to 1k, and the one my friend went to had about 500ish. Despite being 1/2 way down the line, I was walking out with my copy at 12:15, and playing by 12:30. Good times, would def do again

It was a decent line, but like I said most people went to the one in Butler or Pittsburgh, they had much, much bigger crowds.

I went to my brothers apartment to play last night.
There was a crowd of around 30 people in line at gamestop at 7pm. He got off work at 10 something and was an a-hole and skipped everyone and got in line with his friends. So he was out by 12:03. lol
