I was just wondering recently I have been hearing more and more about Lotus cars. Whats so special about them? Where are they made? What do they cost? How many horse/ft. pounds torque? Are they more of a racer or comfort cars? Thanks guys

Lotus are British sports cars. They are pretty expensive, the Espirt is at least 80,000 bucks. There were a few modles of the Espirt that were turbocharged and made around 360 horsepower and about 300-ishlb ft. tourqe. Loutus's newest car modle, the Elise, is a lightwieght, low horse power roadster.

They have great looks but they aren't that fast usually cept if you get the turbo charged ones.

i am pretty sure thier bodies r made of some sort of carbon composite. they r nice, but i prefer itanlian/german cars

They are extremely light. They can be made into badass straight line cars, but they come equipped to run the twisties like no other.

i dont like lotus's much.
I'd rather go with a nsx, more affordable, and better. Someone who lives in my neighborhood has one of these, except his is a 1997 white one.

my friends dad has a red nsx, its nice, but i don't like it that much. if u could have ne car STOCK (excluding made to order cars, farrari, lambrogini, ect.), what car would u have, i would probably take a viper. i don't give a d@mn about handling, i like pure speed and excellration with ameica muscle, and since the viper has the fastest exelleration rate of ne production car, i'm all over it

yeah the elis (sp) is so sweet i havea poster of it on my wall, they're pretty expensive over here but in like england they arent that much.

My uncle has a red 1994 Viper with 480 horse and only 3,000 miles on it. Its a lot of fun to ride in, but I have to say the best part is the looks on peoples faces......everyone young and old turns too see it. When I drove with my uncle we passed by a school bus loaded with like 12-14 year old kids, Just about every kid on that bus stuck their head out the window.

(P.S. my other uncle had a Black RX-7 and they raced the Viper against the RX......the RX kept up pretty good until the Viper hit second gear

German CArs Rock!!! but i would want a stock f1 mclaren since ive hered its fast and if not that a viper the 2003 model those things are sweet!!!!

I don't like the look of the 2003's, the older models look better, they have more of that "Dodge Viper" image. I think the 2003 makes the Viper look more like a Corvette/Mustang/Firebird knockoff. O well, to each his own

who saw the 1000 horse power cadillac at the recent big car show that they played on tech t.v. and the 500 h.p. motorcycle that looked like something from minority report??

Yea, Shelby designed very nice cars. The old Shelby Cobras are one of my favorite cars. A friend of my dad has an Orriginal Shelby Cobra, im still trying to bum a good ride in it.
