I am also considering airsoft right now..........i used to work with a guy my age and he played airsoft, and i played paintball.......he wanted to try paintball and i wanted to try airsoft.........so i took him paintballin, and as soon as i get a day off im goin airsoftin! lol.........
newayz now im lookin at guns and thinkin on what to get, i been readin all the reviews/tech articles on 10 different websites for the past week and a half. As of now, Im leanin towards an AK47, because from everywhere ive read, they are the best stock guns out there....... not as upgradable,but still good all around gun. You can Buy Kits and stuff for it, u can change the pastic out for real wood and metal, which i think is kool to add realism but doesnt really help in performance.So ive pretty much decided on an AK, now to decide whether i want a 47, S, or beita Spetnaz. Hmmmmm............

I would go with the normal AK. I dont like the S because of its whimpy stock. The stock on the AK looks alot better. And the AKB is pretty cool too. I think its a little small though. So If it were up to me, I would go with the normal AK.

Alright, I have been checking things out a bit. What is a really good airsoft website? I don't see anything but "local groups" and cheesy info sites with no real information.

I looked at a few stores, non of which appealed to me. Do airsoft players use paintball goggles or what? I see pics of guys running around without masks on some sites! I can't beleive they actually play w/o masks.

So what gun / setup would you go with for a $300 budget. I am seriously thinking of buying an airsoft gun now. It would be cool to play around with. Maybe airsoft vs paintball match!

First airsoft would win the match just because of range and accuracy factors.

Second, no one in thier right mind would let you play unless you had some eye protection, what you're seeing is guys with shooting glasses on which is not recomended but are allowed because they will stop it but bbs can get around it. There are some companies that make airsoft goggles but most people use paintball goggles because of the availability of them.

The AK is a good beginner gun, but if you want to put a wood stock on it you have to do a lot of work to it because thye don't make airsoft wood stocks they're using a real steel stock.

These are Hong Kong dealers, it is recomended that n00bs buy from Hong Kong dealers because it's usually cheapest. If you buy from an American dealer you will most likely get screwed in the price. The only places to buy would be from Hong Kong, direct from Japan if you can because prices are insanely low, sometimes England and the United States.

What gun you should get is really a prefference thing as all the guns perform basicly the same at stock.

Boy, if you like Airsoft you should go to Italy.....they sell airsoft guns everywhere there. When I was there I even saw street vendors selling them, I saw a lot of Berretta pistols and 1911 style ones. I was going to get one but I didn't think my mother would like me coming home from Italy with a gun of any kind. They were pretty cheap too, wish I had got one

Airsoft guy, you got any links to airsoft movies? Oh, and I was just wondering, how do the people know your hit in the game of airsoft? I mean if you get hit in a vest or something you can completely deny you were hit.....its not like you anyone other then you will know for sure you were hit.

Just don't cheat, it's all based on honor, if you're watching though you can tell when you get hit, and supposedly you can hear when you're hit because it makes a different sound.

If I like airsoft I should go to Japan, I wish I had learned about this sooner because a few years ago a freind of mine went to Japan for his mission (he's Mormon), I could have sent him a bunch of money and gotten like 2 AEGs and psare mags and batteries for what a single one can cost over here.

You could have gotten a wicked deal, can't you still have him get you one? Remember though it has to have an orange barrel and trademarks removed to enter the United States or he could fill in the trademarks with model putty and you can take it out later!

Im downloading a bunch of Airsoft Stuff off of KaZaA. I have some guy fireing an MP5 AEG and its sooo cool. I also have a guy shooting a beratte, Glock, Desert Eagle, and I have a forest scrimage half way done.

Its sooo cool.

That MP5 is the one I'm lookin at. Do you think you could tell me which MP5 is of best quality for my money? I don't want a spring gun because that's lame. I'm open to any ideas.

Ive heard all of the MP5's are great. I personally dont know which ones are good. But mostly they are the same I think. I would go with t
