Poems
Ok I have a soft side to me, please dont think Im a sissy, just when I write poems it sort of calms me, this is a blackhawk down poem I wrote.
As blackhawks fly, over their heads
as this mission would end, 18 would be dead
delta moves in capturing their target
a blackhawks down, hit by a rocket
a cry comes from the men on the ground
"delta one, we have a blackhawk down!!!"
a blackhawks is seen, smoke coming from its end
this blackhawk down, the men must defend
another blackhawk flying by
gets hit too, one pilot dies
the other is stuck inside the cockpit
but the courage of two snipers help out a "bit"
they gave their lives
to leave no man behind
it is now night with the ranger's stuck
by a recoiless rifle, mounted on a truck
but the delta's attack swift and silent
to kill the enemy, the mogadishan tirent
gunships fly all around
machine gun fire popping on the ground
the morning comes swift and fast
the soldiers are moving out at last
though no room left for the men
they must run to the end
where their friends await
these men challenged their own fait.
It just makes me calm if Im having a bad day, so what do you guys do to calm yourself after a bad day??

here is one i wrote.
Life is full of mishaps
Much dismay
What will come next
A bullet
Or last breath
and another
The pain doesn't stop
Could it stop
With the sound
Of thunder
Life is gone
Ended by hate
Ended by shame
If your illiterate then thunder is the sound of a gun.

We just went through a section on poetry in my english class. I wrote this one sonnet that my teacher thought was really great, and everybody else in my class was like freakin out because it was so hard to write a sonnet, but i finished mine in like 10 minutes. To be a sonnet it had to have I think it was 10 syllables in each line and rhyme in a certain scheme, but most of my class didnt do it.

I have a hard time putting war, religion, AND truth all in the same box. They can all be related independantly, but not all at once.
no matter what you believe, most (maybe all) religions are lies.
Wars are built on lies. (The Gulf of Tonkin, anyone? Iraq's phantom chemical weapons? The UN's post-WWII promise to the Zionists? Marxist Communism? All lies with great destructive potential.)
Wars can also be built on religion.
Wars never happen because of the truth.
in all fairness, only one religion or no religion can be correct. Those can't all be true.
Poetry? I've always been fond of Bob Cat's monologue in Police Academy 4:
Gene, Gene, made a machine.
Joe, Joe, made it go.
Art, Art, lit a fart
and blew the whole damn thing appart.

no it's religion, think about it almost all of the wars except for a few recent ones have been about religion. thats why i choose to be atheist because in reality your "god" is just causeing war.

Religion dosn't cause war, it's the people, even if everyone was Athiest there would still be an assload of war.

Every war. Look at the whole story and almost every war has some dispute over religion. But people are the one's who do it. Religion is just an issue that not everyone agrees on. Like someone said, even without religion we would have wars.

well since we can't get rid of man then why not get rid of religion? btw ure sig is waaaaaayyyyyyyyyy to long. and no ther wouldn't still be an assload of war. there would still be war but if religion was taken out of the picture i say about 75% of the wars wouldn't happen that have happened.
