Guns are for protection, hunting, and liesure, they're made to kill for the mostpart but not to kill people, unfortunatlt dickheads kill people with them making it worse for the law abiding citezens because the media just picks up on the bad things, they never show when a firearm is used in defense and when they do they downplay it like the defender is a crimminal. Gun crime has been going down while gunsales, especially handguns, have been going up, and places with the highest number of sales and most lax laws have the lowest crime compared to places with fewer guns and stronger gun laws.
Furthermore, just the fact that he lied that one time takes him out of the running for Best Do***entary, you cannot take two things and put them together and say they were from one place, that is putting words in Heston's mouth, lying, just that one incedent should have kicked his ass off the list. He disqualified himself by cheating.

He says that missles were being made to launch ICBM's and satellites to control them. Truth is those rockets were being refitted to launch commercial satellites.
When he walks into the bank and walks out with a rifle for opening a bigass account? Fake. They set that up, in reality you had to wait and get a backround check and then you could pick the firearm up at a gunstore, they didn't just keep guns in there and when you opened up an account they handed you a Ruger #1 and you had to open an exceptionaly large account to get the rifle, not some dinky $200 account.
He says the Klan and the NRA are practicly one and the same. Not true, in fact I think the NAACP is more closely related to the KKK. In truth the NRA and KKK have absolutly nothing to do with each other except the fact that the NRA became an official organazion the same year the KKK became an illegal terrorist group, a bill signed in by Presedent Ulysses S. Grant who later became presedent of the NRA.
He talks about how the U.S. has such high death rates attributed to firearms when the actual number is just about .4%. That's all, just .4% of the people who die in this country are offed by firearms, real bad problem, and a good number (note I don't have the number right now)of them do so with illegal guns used by criminals and not law abiding citizens.
When he buys ammunition from a Canadian Wal-Mart, that's a sham, you need to get proper permission to do so, you can't simply walk in and buy a couple boxes of .30/06 and a brick of .22's.
Point is he lied many times, and lying once and calling it facts in a do***entary is bad enough, especially an obvious one such as editing a couple different speeches. It just shows me that the gun control freaks are losing control because people are opening thier eyes to the bull**** spewed by anti gun people and seeing that they're idiots and thinking rationaly for once.
