i do it when its allowed at the beach, some dumbass ran into sum1 ridin one and broke their leg so skim-boarders can only get on the beach when the surfers do, wich is usually like after 4
im pretty good at it. i can start then jump and do a 360 shove it kinda thing(jump and board spins 360° beneath you)

I skimboarded a couple times in California and I just loved it! It is a blast. I was getting pretty good too.

Last time i went skimboarding: me and my dad built my own skim board... this was prolly when i was 12 or 13... it worked pretty damn well when i went to huntington beach... but then i took a spill and the board popped up and hit me directly in the shin where there is no padding at all... blood everywhere... went to the lifegaurd and all he could do was rince it out with water... and put a band aid on it... i still have a pretty big scar on my shin... but it was fun so its cool.

Can someone explain to me what Skimboarding is? I'm guessing that it's somewhat like surfing. Anybody?

you know when the wave comes it on the beach and it's only like an inch thick? well a skim board it just a thin peice of wood shapped kinda like a rounded arrow head. and when the wave is only an inch thick you run and through the skim board down and jump on it and ride.

and when you get really good at it you can ride the skim(the inch thick water)out into deeper water and turn on a wave and ride it back to shore
