yah, it definetely takes some getting used to. i still ain't real great at getting it to do what i want it to do. but it seems a lot more stable. i haven't had it crash on me yet. the only problem is finding applications FOR linux. got to search the net for em. but it ain't so bad.

What kind of Linux kernel are you running? Linux is great, the only bad thing about it is a few less programs run on it, but other then that it is great. It isn't very user friendly if you don't know what you are doing, but if you ever used minux/unix it is easy. I ran linux on my old compaq, until I burned the motherboard up.

Right now i'm using Red Hat Linux 8.0. a friend of mine is a real big fan of Linux and he gave me a Linux for Dummies book with the Red Hat cd's.

i still ain't too great with it, but i'm getting better. i do like it a lot better than windows tho. definetely. the only problem i've really encountered on it is installing programs. if they aren't rpm files it gets a little difficult for me beings i'm such a computer wiz. lol.
