hey, so does anyone, im thinking of trying it out. i used to play guitar, wasnt very good, could never do chords.. but i think i wanna try out bass, i love the sound and they more fun to play i think...

but, im a newb when it comes to them.. so i have some q's

do you need to play chords to play bass?
whats a good brand, at good price

only questions i got right now.. but what are yur thoughts about playing bass, think i should get into it?

I play the bass a little. their are chords on a bass but people dont often use them. A good brand to buy would be ibanez. I had trouble with guitar too but I picked up the bass and it is a lot easier for me. Whats funny is that my first bass is a 3000 dollar ibanez custom that i got off my bro for 400 dollars and an old palm pilot(worth about 200)

yeah i might be able to get a used ibanez for cheap, so ill definitely gonna look into that..

what i would love is a warwick vampyre 4 string... i dont know anything of the specs on it, but it is so sweet looking

for a beginner i would go peavy(sp?) since a set (guitar and amp) costs $500 Cad. I like guitar more, though, I play bass for my school band, and 6-string for my band.

My friend plays bass and is obsessed with his Ibanez5-string GIO or sumthin like that(I know cuz that used to be his AIM sn) he's pretty good at it.

funny thing is that i have played in my schools jazz band for a year now and i dont own a set, yet i am still better than the people who take lessons and practice all the time.

yeah the cheap ibanez i could have got.. hm this chick over heard me talking to the guy about it and now shes buying it cuz she can have the money sooner. *****... lol, actaully shes pretty cool, but still.. kinda pissed me off..

It is an ibanez custom. Its really nice. The guy who owned it before my brother had it made for him and then he had it for a year and sold it to my bro, who then sold it to me 2 years later. The only is i wish it was a headless.

oh and yeah, i decided to take out my old acoustic tonight and got my lessons book and tried her out again and im doing a lot better then i used to.. so maybe theres still hope

My 6 string is a nice ibanez... not sure what kind, and my bass is a peavy
