not to big of a yankee fan, not to big of an a-rod fan, i personnaly like the reds or marlins, but hey thats just me, and vladimar is the best player as of know IMO, and i also find it funny that NYY said that yankees just suck, lol

Please tell me how Vladimir Guerrero is the best player in baseball. You're coming off a year in which Vlad has back problems which may never go away. How is Vlad the best player when the guy has never hit 40 homeruns in one season. Arod has been a 40-40 man has Guerrero ever been? Arod is the BEST fielding SS, and Vlad has a very good arm, but he still makes a good amount of errors a year. Guerrero has no self control at the plate and swings at any from his head to the dirt. Arod's number the past three numbers sound someting like this .306 Avg 52 Homeruns 132 RBI's. Sounds to me like Vlad doesn't pass up those numbers.

well if boston wasn't so cheap then maby they would have him, and i am gonna love 2 see pedro get his face kicked in by schilling cuz kurt won;t put up w/ ne of pedros whiney ,i am teh best on this team, BS. and i find it funney that the only reason that you changed teh subject and that you like foot ball 5 trillion times more is that boston has a better football team then NYC, and no a dynasty is 27 world champion ships, not 2. which if i may add 15 more than the 2nd best team, the cards@14. that my friend is a dynasty. and if you think that the "yanbkeys" blow then all i can say is the red sox must take it up teh pooper cuz they r definatly worse, and will always be worse cuz now they r fighting 2 curses.

yankees are doing the biggest part of all the teams to slowly decay the sport away. football is like 20 times more successful than baseball now, and it all started back when salary caps were put in. with salary caps and a constantly changing roster, there is actually competition going on, and that makes people want to watch more. as badly as you dont want to hear it, no one gives a damn if yankees win anymore. its the same thing every friggin year, and if it keeps up like this it will continue to be the same friggin thing every year. ratings go down, basball goes down

the yankees arent decaying ****, to win you have to spend money, any team that hasnt realized this deserves to fail

and plus, its not that yankees fault that there is no salary cap, so dont say that they are decaying the sport, when they are just working within the system. I personally would love to see a salary cap. Sure, the yanks will lose a lot of big time players, but it will bring in a lot more younger players, and people willing to cut their salary just to play for the yanks.

ONCE AGAIN YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. THE YANKEES ARE DECAYING THE SPORT???!??!?!?!? THEN WHY ARE THEY SOLDOUT WHEREVER THEY GO?! You REALLY need to learn about what you're talking about the Yankees haven't won in the last three years, so stop sying they win every year. In the last 25 years, the Yankees won four world series. And after the ALCS with the Yankees and Red Sox, baseball got into it alot more. For almost the whole year baseball has been in the news. Even into Week 14 in the NY area, there was more news about baseball then football with the whole Arod Boston thing. One week after the superbowl, no one talks about it anymore. You really need to think.

good so the yankee fans go to the game. what about where the real money comes in- from the tv viewers? less and less people are watching the world series every year, cause frankly, they dont give a damn about the yankees anymore. you want proof no one cares about the yankees? in the world series leading up to the championship game (when the soxes and the others were still in it) ratings were through the roof. as soon as it came down to the yankees, things just kinda stopped dead and everyone stopped caring. it wasnt on the news nearly as much, and i didnt even know who wont the championship for like a week.

one week after the superbowl isnt 3 months before the next season

and maybe the yankees are just using the system to their advantage, but really, salary caps need to be installed to keep the viewers coming back for more.

ever heard of the YES network? yea... teh one that is thriving and is broadcast coast 2 coast and beyond? and what do you think all teh yankes fans that go to the games in other towns do when teh yankees r'nt there? radio? no they watch the game on t.v.

and one of the reasons that people stopped watch in teh world series cuz it si on so damn late... the games start @ 8 and go til 11:30 WTF! and if you didn;t know who won then you don;t hate teh yankees that bad cuz i am sure and yankees hater would be rubing everyones noses in teh fact that they lost. or... you were just stoned for that whole week after the WS. you sober and you drunk are liek 2 different people lol you almost totaly contradicted your self from last line in these posts you should make like a sober name and a wasted name. then we can keep it strate

you guys gotta look at the big picture- yankee fan support is definitely booming, but this is at the cost of the entire league. yankees are NO ONES second favorite team (well maybe thats an exageration, but you get my point) you either like em or you hate em. because of that, everytime they make it to the championship, the people that would have watched to see other favorite teams wont watch because its "just the yankees again"

he is doing his job, and his job is to win, and he has done that successfully for the past few years. Maybe if every other billionare owner put his own money into the team, then there wouldnt be this problem. But you cant blame the yanks for wanting to win.

Look at how much we are talking about the Yankees, and most of us hate them. It doesn't matter if we hate them or love them. Half of the people that watch the Yankees want them to win, and the other half watch them to lose. The more the Yankees go over the Luxury Tax the more small market teams will be getting money from George. I bet you they are somewhat happy that George is trading for guys like Arod now that their luxury tax check just went up thousands of dollars.

The ALCS and NLCS got great rating, because the American fans came back to its national pastime. Last year was one of the greatest playoffs in baseball history. The reason why the World Series was a dud was because the Marlins are nobodies, and people were upset the Yankees made it back to the World Series. The World Series was also quite anti-climatic after the Boone homerun, and the Cubs 8th inning explosing and game 7 loss.

When I said that they sell out games I was referring to AWAY games. When the Yankees played the Tigers for three games they sold over 100k tickets. You think the Tigers sold 100k tickets in August? I don't know they might not have. The fact that we are questioning that shows how little fans Tigers can generate, but when the Yankees come they get sold out.
