I don't understand how people can argue that they suck. it's like arguing the color of grass.... The yankees are, and always have been the best team in baseball.

yankees dont suck, and a rod is just doing what most people would do... go for more money

im just mad that they have done such a huge job at making their team great that the sport as a whole is losing its cool factor

Prove the sport is being hurt FROM THE YANKEES. Where are your facts? And don't say people aren't watching the games, because that's a very small amount of people, and they generate interest into baseball, so atleast they cancel out themselves.

My first MLB baseball game was seeing the Yanks play against the Twins in 98 when Wells pitched the perfect game. They gave out beanie babies and beanie cards, I heard their worth some $$$ so I kept them. A bunch of people outside were buying them for $20 a piece after the game, my cous sold his. Hopefully their still worth something seeing as the fad has worn out.

If you mean they buy them by paying in blood, sweat, and tears. then yes they have paid for everyone of them.
