the best time to wink is after the two of you shared a laugh or something that is just between the two of you.

Yeah, over winking will make you look like a cheap used car sellsman with cheap $2 cologne.

Signs like,
Touching you or when you touch her does she pull away or smile or do nothing? If she pulls away then don't but if it is any of the other two things then you got a shot.

Ok, let me respond to the latest round of advice with my experience-

1. I'm thinking about her quite a lot, it's kinda scary...I don't want to seem obsessive, but I keep asking myself where she is at various times during school, and even at home!

2. Just about everyone laughs at stuff I say, including her. Or maybe it's just out of sympathy for my terrible sense of humor...who knows!

3. Well, I don't really touch people very often, much less the person I'm afraid to ask out...but I've been sitting in my 5th period class and she's tapped me on the foot a lot- does that mean anything?

4. I've heard her talking about other guys occassionally...not too often, but enough to make me jealous!

5. I definetly keep the eye contact thing going, and I usually have to break it because I'm afraid she'll think I'm paranoid if I stare at her too long...

6. I'm not too sure about the whole winking thing, since I've never winked at anyone or anything...of course, I see it once in a while, but nothing that would help me. Does winking really make that much of a difference? I don't want to seem like I'm coming on to her too fast...

Well, if I'm going to have a shot at asking her out, I'm going to have to do it either tomorrow or Thursday...after that, I'll see her sperratically throughout the summer, nothing definite...so tell me if I really should go for it or not. But to make this thread better, I had my little disposable camera today and I took her picture today...look for her picture once I get it developed in the coming days. THEN and ONLY THEN will you see how beautiful she is...and why it's not hard to fall in love with her!

I think I will counter here

:

1. You're not obsessive at all. That's an attraction. When you feel the need to know how someone is doing or why they aren't near is a sign that you may be going "ga-ga."

2. LMAO! What are you talking about? That notion ITSELF was funny. Anyways, that is a good sign. I doubt they feel sorry for you, because people will distance themselves from you after awhile and make up excuses for such if you get too annoying.

3. I think she wants you to reciprocate and play footsy with ya

Nah, I'm playing. Have you tried doing the same to her and when she looks at you, you just smirk jokingly?

4. Hm.... YOU? JEALOUS?! Heh. Right

5. If she knows proper people skills (which I bet she does), she would understand the reason for eye-contact. Not many people will mind if you keep eye-contact because it help keep the conversation interesting and it proves that you are truly paying attention to them.

6. Yeah, it helps. Just practice in the mirror until you've perfected it. If you don't, you may hurt someone.

Hey, don't do anything against your own instincts. I would reccommend asking her out on kind of a friendly we're-going-to-the-movies date. Just say:

You: "Hey, |name|. There's this cool new movie out called |movie|. Ever heard of it?"

Her: "Yes, Duo (sorry, dunno your name), I think it looks really good."

You: "That's cool. Say; I was planning to see it, so would you like to go see it with me this weekend?"

Her: "Of course! That'd be great! When?"

You: "Well, I'd have to see what time it's playing at, but maybe this |day|, perhaps?"

Her: "Sounds good."

You: "Aight! See you in |next class you see her in|."

Her: "See ya then."

Anyways, do NOT try to put the moves on her at the movies unless you feel really confident in your ability to succeed! THINK about it carefully if you start, because when you do, there's no turning back (in most cases).
