ok heres the story, i really need help on this one so please read it.

ok im driving down the road and a white trans am flies by me doin about 80 in a 40, cuts infront of me and slows down, i pass it goin about 50 in a passing lane. then it pulls up next to me and i see someone inside, couldnt see who it was, motioning me to pull over, no lights, no siren, no nothing just a hand wave. so im not pulling over for a random person so i gun it and get to another red light, and turn left, running the light. i fly down the road with the trans am still following me. i turn left into a gas station and the car blocks me in, still no siren or lights. they rolled down the window and it was a undercover cop. i got a big ticket and i got 6 months probation and i have to go to court.

now im wondering if its legal for her to pull me over and do all that without turning on lights or anything because i thought that she was chasing me for i dont know what reason.

please help me out because if it isnt legal me and my dad are getting a lawyer

Actually, interesting story. I believe they CAN'T pull you over, because of incidents of impersonators pulling people over constantly, therefore it's not un-lawful for you to disobey. However, don't quote me on that.

Go to a criminal lawyer and ask them. Usually the first "consultation" is free and they can tell you if they think that you have a case or not, and how much it will cost to defend you. I think you have a legitimate case as there was no way to identify the vehical as police then you could not know that you were not following a lawfull order blah blah blah... Good luck

the probation i have no idea about, but the lawyer will cost nothing because it is my uncle, but please people still give me answers, i need a lot of opinions

Not pulling over, speeding, and running a red light. If it was a cop.

i think they have to have some form of identification that they are a cop. ive even seen tv shows where they are like "pull over for NO ONE unless they are a marked authority blah blah".... i dont see how they can bust you for that crap, there was obviously no way to tell who it was and u wouldnt stop for some random person. theyll prolly pull somethin like "but you endangered the lives of others while doing so, etc"

yea but my uncle is a great lawyer, and i honestly didnt think that it was a cop. so its unfair. but i need about 30 more opinions before i come to a conclusion

dude that cop just screwed you like a prostitute in vegas. i know my legal stuff well (gotta know how to defend myself because of some "stuff" i do) and he had no right to do anything he did (passing you at 80, waving you over without lights, etc. for the record you can only be pulled over if the vehicle has lights flashing)

Well, if your uncle is a lawyer, why don't you have him find out? After all, he DID go to law school. It sounds illegal to me, and the probation still boggles me. Most you should've gotten was a ticket, I see no possible way you should've gotten proby.

judges hate cops most of the time...tell it like it is. lie that people have tried to fake you out before....and the whole free consultation is bull. No good lawyer will give anything for free. My lawyer for when I got thrown in jail cost me 50 bucks for a minute and a half phone call when I was in lock up. the lawyer isn't cheap because they do there job well.
