Did you guys hear that the California Supreme Court voidified the same-sex marriges performed in Frisco?

Good decision on the courts part.

I think that it's bull**** that same sex marraiges are illegal, but the mayor didn't go threw the proper steps to make it legal, so I can't really argue with the decision to void the marraiges.

It's all about the old and not the new. You do know that previous generations did give a damn about things like these. And currently that is what's going on. The law is the old generation. It is going to change, but it will take time.

I think thats what they did. They basically said "You didn't go through the proper procedures so you aren't allowed to marry people.....But we aren't against it or anything.." Thats what they basically said if i heard it right.

I've stated my opinion, and you can state yours. You dont need to namecall, I havent said anything offensive to anyone in a direct way. I would expect more from a moderator.

What is your reasoning for seeing gay marriage as an acceptable way of life? Lets assume everyone views it as acceptable, and eventually everyone decides to live that way. We have no one left. After that generation dies, humans are gone forever. It wasnt meant to be that way. Men and women were meant to be together, the same sex isnt. Life cannot come from those kinds of relationships, so I dont think that it is the way things are meant to be.

not everyone would decide to live that way though.. extremely unlikely..

its a matter of human rights.. not nature or religious believes...

denying same sex marriage is denying humans freedom.. i thought thats what america was all about.. freedom.. they find the need to go places and kill a crap pile of people to give them freedom, but wont make a MUCH simplier and murderless decision on their own soil to ensure people freedom...

humans have denfied nature in SO many ways.. how is this any different.. if thats your reasoning for not supporting it, then i guess you dont support man made chemicals or manufactured things.. they arent natural... plastic would have never been made naturaly.. there fore with youre reasoning you could argue that 'it was not meant to be'... so do you not use plastic things? ill be EXTREMELY surprised if you dont...

you may think it seems stupid to compare them.. but based onm youre reasoning.. it is applicable...

Good point well taken. I guess another reason to me is just the morality of it. I dont see it as right, a lot of people dont. Maybe its just what I hear from church or my parents, but I think its a part of me saying, thats just not right. Some things you can't always have a great answer for. 'why?' ... 'just cuz'. Everyone has said that at one time or another. I'm not going to change my stance on it, but I definitely respect your opinion, and everyone elses.

well you can never debate morality. well you can, but ya wont get any further then tired fingers and a frustraited/fried brain.

i grew up with church and all that also. but I still couldnt see why they could think that and thought it was wrong.. along with basically everything else they preech.

sorry for being pretty harsh at first.. i just have no patience when it comes to this matter.

It's ok, I realize its a touchy subject. I probably shouldnt have been so outgoing/up front about it, but I have a strong opinion too. So I guess we can agree to disagree. No hard feelings? I dont want to make any enemies here, I try not to be to big of a jerk.
