I know this has become a cliche.. Guns don't kill people. People kill people. If I went to your house right now and I had no clue who the hell you were and held a gun to your head, would I have the gnads to kill you just becuase I'm a bit pissed off? No. But a lot of Americans do beucase they are so ****ed up.


What abotu assault weapons? Do oyu know what an assualt weapon is? Basicly its a term made up by the media for any gun that looks or sounds scary on paper. Why aren't DM4's banned in paintball? You can shoot faster then an imagine thats on full auto just by walking!

Did you know that bayonets are illegal as stated uin the AWB?? Well, sicne then, the number of drive-by bayonettings has decreased from 0 to 0!

You can't tell me that an M4 and a Mark 23 mod 0 are more dangerous then each other. I can aim a gun at your face and shoot. The M4 will shoot faster and full auto, but it will empty the mag in a few short seconds.

Guns that are easy to fire from the hip are illegal too! BEcuase shooting from your hip at full auto is so much more accurate then shouldering an M21.

How do you guys feel about these christian soccer mom revolts messing up the bill of rights?

I don't believe that you should be able to own a nuke. There are wackos out there. Some restriction is needed. But making bayonets illegal? WTF I can put a knife on a stick. Half of the laws created abou guns are made by people that have never held and fired a gun in their life.

I hate all these bans, and I'm happy it's ending in September. I have a buncha money saved up to go out and buy all sorts of ****, in case they elongate the ban...which would piss me off.

Yes larocket, I enjoy shooting. I'm also joining the military, and I believe that any experience with weaponry beforehand is a good thing, especially for the job I want.

I'm joining the Marines in a couple years. Paintball is a good step to using real weapons... Thats kind what got me into the sport. It teaches you safety above all things.

Well, I have a lot of libertarian views, and gun control is one of them. I think Alpha put it nicely. A gun is a gun, rather it be a $75 Bryco pistol or an AR-15. It's a peoples right to own arms to defend themselves and their family. If firearms were only available to law enforcement, crime would go up, not down. A great example is prohibition. People drank more during prohibition than during non-prohibition times. When prohibition was lifted, driking went back down again. Another example is; while I hate to say it, Hitler. Were Jews allowed to carry weapons? Nope. Don't you think things would have gone differently if they were?

Also, most people who are buying assualt rifles are using them for home defense or sport shooting. Most "criminals" carry cheap, easily concealable, and dispensible weapons.

When I get my own place, I'm going to sleep with a .45 under my pillow and an MP5 (semi would be fine, but full auto would be a nice feature if its legal by then) under my bed.

If I was trying to kill someone, I doubt I'd use a full auto feature. I'd use burst or semi, and I'd probably use semi becuase theres less recoil and I could save ammo in case there was more people.

I want guns to practise my marksmanship and for home defense. I'm going to join the Marines, and I think its sad that although I'm going to devote my LIFE to protecting this country, I still don't feel safe and need to protect MYSELF and my household from the country I'm willing to give my life for.

Well, you only have to be 18 to buy "evil looking" sporting rifles, and can be any age to own one by FEDERAL LAWS. Its 21 just for handguns ("Evil Looking" or otherwise).

MASS, as you know, is a different issue, since they have there own definition of "Assault Rifles", which happens to include nearly all "self-loading" rifles (regardless if they are hunting, targer, sporting, or whatever).
So, the situation is Mass is not likely to be resolved when the ridiculous AW ban is removed next month.

In my youth, I had a fairly large collection of politically incorrect firearms, but nearly everything was sold as I grew older. All I have left is just a 9mm, 12g, and .308 since thats all I ever really used.

Thats any gun (real or not) in the hands of a civillian. Politically correct guns are guns that are only in the hands of military personell and law enforcement officers, and thats stretching it.

lol, too bad Full auto weapons are illegal in most states w/oput a specialized permit, I own my grandfathers Thompson from WWII/Korea when he fought as a plattoon srgnt.

The thing is, People are toos cared by guns, especially w/ all the terrorism in the world now adays

Personaly, I wouldn't mind keeping a .45 pistole and a hunting rifle in my closet (locked up of course) but i think it's just plain out stupid and ignorent to sleep w/ a loaded pistol under your head, and w/ the MP5 (semi or full auto) i just don't see the point if someone busting into ur house and u needing to empty a **** load of 9mm in the guy. I am a strong beliuever of Non-lethal weapontry. There are things out such as pepper balls that are shot from pb guns, and among the many 12 Guage ammunition. But... there is also leathle 12 Guage ammunition. www.deltaforce.com sells alot of that stuff, and my father does have 2 12 Guages, 2 30-06's, the thompson, an m1 grande, and a Glock 9mm. the thing is he did order some ammunition from that web site for "home security" but the weirdest person that has every come to our house is some fat guy asking for us to join their religion



and alpha, u take the whole military thing too harsh, even for a "future" marine, No chick will date a guy w/ loaded guns under his bed and under his pillow, i don't know many marines that do that except shell shocked ones. My grandfather was wounded in WWII from a sniper round in his arm and almost got his arm amputated, among the many other things he had, he had a purple heart for getting large amounts of shraplnal in his legs from bombs. But he didn't have loaded firearms under his pillows and stuff. RIP

Well, I don't think "Non-Lethal" exists, but certaintly "Mostly non-lethal" systems are certaintly the future. I have rock salt sitting in my 12g "just in case", but honestly, I don't even lock my doors to my house or my car.
The only problem with "most non-lethal" systems is people (especially the police) are far more likely to use them instead of talking to the person.

There was a time, when I was younger, that I would carry a concealed 45. I felt safe with it, but what was the point? I live in the "sticks", and HAVE NEVER been in any danger.
I might need to carry if I lived in NY or LA, but its virtually impossible to get a permit there, so its a moot point. If I felt I was in danger, then I'd just get some mace or whatever.
Its sad to admit, but I DO NOT want to go to jail for shooting a mugger who happens to have the worlds greatest lawyer.

I'm content to have all my guns locked within a steel cabinet. If I need it, I'll use it.

yep, Same here man, i usualy live in " richer" neighborhoods, and there is no need for a gun, if someone comes in my house, close range pball shots hurt...

but i totaly agree w/ u keeping them locked up. I got a remingtom safe w/ the digital key pad and a tumbler lock and i only open it too wipe the guns off so they stay nice (especially my grandfathers thompson)

i hate gun control. gun control is using both hands. I just recently got my ar 15. and I am glad I have it so that they can't say you can't get it.

as far as alpha saying he wants a full auto mp5????? do you know how tough it is to get the licensing for that gun. You would be in red tape for years. why not get a nice small bullpup which is shorter and would be easier to shoot quick.

my assault rifle makes me happy. there is nothing better than crushing a water melon.
