Who watced this? It pissed me off when that guy from the crowd nearly tackled the leader.

I saw it. I got pissed off by that ass too. For those who don't know come guy grabbed the leader adn pushed him into the crowd and the guy lost about 10 seconds, not to mention it got him out of his rythme. He ended getting 3rd. I think he would have ended up getting passed anyway but I'm not positive.

He said afterwards that it cost him, cuz it got him out of his zone, and just messed w/ him cuz he didn't know if the guy was gunna stab him or shoot him, or what the guy was gunna do.

Yeah, I saw it, that's ****ed up.
Side note: That guy, earlier this year, ran through the cars at a race in Europe (not sure of details). Also, he was wearing Italian colors, when an Italian was in second, and ended up getting first, after passing Lima as he was out of his rhythm.  |

The guy wasn't pulling for a country, it was some religious thing, I'm not sure exactly what. If it were the Italian guy he would have done the same thing.

He might have gotten past later down the race, but who knows? I personally think that those guys prepare more mentally and emotionally for a race that long than physically prepare for it. It did take him out of his zone.
How can you run 20 miles at a 4:30/mile pace and suddenly STOP and try to get back to speed? Its impossible.

Brazil, but IMO it had nothing to do with any country, the guy just wanted TV time and obviously the camera's are focussed on the guy in first place.
