I'm guessing C, because as you will notice, that's where most shootings/crimes tend to occur. Aside from accidents, I've never heard of mass slayings at gun ranges, gun safety courses, gun shows, etc. What this means to me is: the more armed people there are in an area, the less chance a single (or a few) criminals have.

Like any law, it doesn't PREVENT anything, but it sure as hell deters. Don't you think people would be more likely to own a semi if it were legal?
anyways, following that line of logic, why not just repeal all laws that people get around anyways? because then there would be no laws. |

The AWB was put out becuase it would be a popular thing. It doesn' stop crime, doesn't stop shootings, doesn't do anything but piss off the people would like to collect them and shoot them.
sasKuach has a very good point and I see exactly what he's getting at. However, that, like the assault weapons ban is a generalization.
Was it right for us to put ALL Japanese in camps during WW2 so we wouldn't have a few spies?
Is it right for us to ban ALL "assault weapon" guns (guns that actually have no difference then guns OUTSIDE the ban) so a few don't go on shootings?
BEcuase you wore your hat in school, should every kid stay after?

I have you know, you can easily turn your "lousy 22" into a fully auto mowing machine. Just with any other gun, if you actually know a gun you can do this. So instead of just regulating the people who buy guns, you need to regulate all the speacial parts that can make your single shot 30/30 into a beast.
