Anyway, happy September 13th! For those of you that don't know, today is the day the ban on assault weapons ends! AKs for everyone. In my opinion this is the end of a 10 year long pointless ban on assault weapons. If a bad guy wants an assault weapon, they'll get them regardless of whether they're legal or not. Not to mention only 2% of crimes were committed w/ assault weapons.

What do you guys think?

You think we should re-ban guns based on cosmetics again? I can understand if you wanted to ban guns that really did make bigger wholes and are automatic, but these guns didn't and weren't.

Let me clear this up right now.

FULL AUTOMATIC WEAPONS ARE NOT COVERED IN THE ASSAULT WEPAONS BAN.

Full automatic guns have been illegal since the 1930s. You can't get one without a class 3/NFA.

The assault weapons ban is made on the outside of guns. They are all semi automatic rifles. Thats all we can buy.

[dumb joke]I guess the bad guys learned how to walk the trigger, and they figured whats the diffrence now? [/dumb joke] I dont really care if people have automatic weapons. If they're outlawed, then only outlaws will have them, and thus the criminals will be like: "Hey this person I'm robbing, I know WON'T have an automatic weapon, so I don't have to worry."

if someone ever breaks into my house i break out the frozen paint and turn the velocity up a little but and the frozen paint could be enough to give them serious wounds or kill them...but i would go for the balls.

Yeah, a guy breaks into your house and you have time to run to the freezer, load your hopper, put on an air tank, turn on your gun, and shoot the guy in the balls? Doubt it. He would cut you before you had the idea to shoot him.

im all for the lifting of the ban, but you guys dont really get the point. this is for the shooting enthusiest who wants to go to the range and shoot any gun he wants. no one uses an AK for home defense, a fmj round will go through several walls in a house, thats why shotguns are the ideal form of home defense

If they are registered pre 86, you have no criminal history, are age of 21, have a CLEO signoff. Then you can own one. No ifs ands or buts.

Do you know what a machiengun is? Please don't tell me an AK-47 or M4A1 is a Machinegun. An M60, or M249 is a machinegun.

And besides that, if you have no criminal record, and you get signed for the license, then you have way more credability then say someone who has been arrested 3 times.

I don't believe full auto rifles, submachienguns, shotugns, or guns period should be legal. First of all, its pointless. IF youhave a high rate of fire, your just wasting ammo. Second of all, if you aren't in the military or police or in teh service of your country somehow, there is no reason for you to need to shoot another human being. WEll, there is one, self defense, however, you can do the same thing with an MP5 as you can do with a M92F.

Guns were invented to kill, and unless you need to kill someone, or want to be prepared to defend yourself against an assailant, you don't need one.

Recreational shooting and hunting are two exceptions. I can understand if you want to let loose at the range. But using an M4 to hunt is just a bit overkill. That takes away from the sport. Its like full auto or semi in paintball. Or pump. I personally have way mre of a fun time playing pump then I do semi. The challenge helps me build my skills.

I'm not religous at all, but I do believe that you shouldn't kill an innocent person deliberately and aggressively.

The problem is not WHAT guns we have, but WHO has them, and HOW we can screen who has them.

I think England is ****ed up.No way. WE should be able to have guns as stated in our first amendement. But WHO has those guns we need to control. Too many ****ed up criminals out there.
