I prefer to smoke Torpedo shaped cigars usually Maduro (dark) in color. I do have a couple of favorite brands but my absolute favorite are Boutique Specials. I haven't been able to find those in a very long time. Ah well....

You guys should try cigars that you don't get at the grocery store. They are much better, and you'll find a new love for cigar smoking.

I totally agree with Rebel. Swisher Sweets and Black and Milds are the extreme low end of the cigar market. In fact most cigar affectionados do not even consider grocery store cigars actual cigars. They are more like brown cigarettes.
Try stopping by a cigar shop with an actual humidor in the place. You will find that there is much more to enjoy out there than just Black and Milds. The grocey store varieties are something akin to training wheels on a bicycle. If you wanna smoke a real cigar don't go to the grocery store.

Go to a cigar shop, and ask whoever is working what they recommend for between $5-10. Those guys just sit around and smoke cigars all day, they usually know the best cigars.

Of course if you wanna spend more you can. I've seen cigars get well over $30 a piece, and I'm sure they get even higher than that.

Yeah you guys are missing out.. besides the whole idea of smoking a cigar is having one every so often as a treat.

Some of the best cigars I've smoked have been priced 50 cents upto $3.00 depending on what you want to spend. I personally cannot see spending more than $5.00 on a cigar. But then again $5.00 is pushing it. You don't have to spend a lot of money to get a good cigar. It's more about quality and taste than it is about price. If you're not familiar with cigar smoking do what Rebel said...talk to the store clerk and ask them what they recommend for someone new to cigar smoking. Try a few different types and brands see what you like the best.
And remember there is a certain way that cigars are smoked...it's not like lighting a cigarette.

Underage smoking... doesn’t that fall under the new code of conduct?

Seriously 2ffu, you're pushing it, and i think you're doing it on purpose. Lucky for you most of the people that responded are over 18.

^ Great cigar for under $5. Very smooth, and burns real nice. I've spent too much money on those.

once over fourth of july I bought some pretty nice cochibas (were about 6 or 7 bucks a pop) and we sat around drinking canadian laggers like mooseports or something. I felt like I was retired.

Nothing, I mean nothing, beats good cigars, good beer, and good friends.

my favorite ones are when i go on vacation in mexico, jamaica, and they hand roll the cigars right infront of me. great stuff. One of my friends brought me some Cuban cigars from when he went on a cruise, those are very nice. I had some Hondurian cigars.
1.cuban
2.hondurian
3.hand rolled in random countries
4. teqilia flavored
