Computer Whizs Help Me
I just rebooted my computer because of a horrible virus. Everythings fine and I have all my old documents but my printer won't work. It's connected to the computer but when I press print, it says there's not a printer. Any help? Thanks!

go to control panel, add hardware
then it should prompt you to install drivers from a disk
or go to system-hardware-device manager
you should see your printer somewhere there. If you do, then click on it and update drivers. If that doesnt work, right click, uninstall, and just reinstall your printer software

Just reinstall the software for the printer. Your documents are probably gone for good though.

this is simple.....all you have to do is delete the folder called "Program Files"
that should fix the problem.

If you are using widows XP -- go to your control panel, click on "printers and faxes" and then click on "add printer". If you have the driver on a disk, click have disk.. (if you don't have it, go to the manufacturere's website and download it to your desktop, then when you check 'have disk' hit the browse button and pick it off the desktop) or you can have XP search for it and see if it is on the XP install disk.
Let me know if you need more help -- hit me up on aim and I can walk you through it if you need more help.
Hope that helps.
BTW if you have a Mac.... Nevermind.. I know nothing of Macs

If you can't find your driver at the manufacturer's website, you might also try http://www.driverguide.com .
The username is: driver2
The password is: all
Which is what they send everybody when they register. This will save you several pages of having to uncheck all the crap you don't want them to send you. *shrug* for what that's worth.

I've got a Linuxbox, it's not hard to install, just copy the .iso's to CDs and pop disc one in before you turn on the computer. Tada, installation.

Yeah it is, you just have to step up from the PlaySchool GUI windows gives you and Learn to use GNOME or KDE as well as a command line. It also makes me feel nerdy-cool to say that I own a LinuxBox
