Rejected from two jobs
Bah, I'm still jobhunting, and I just got rejected by a computer. And it was in bold text of all things. Stupid me being 15ness. I think I can work better then a lot of toothless old people, and just becuase I was born a bit later then them, I dont get a job. Ghey.
Anyone else having a hard time finding a job? I had a summer job but my boss was a tard and still owes me like 150 bucks so I just stopped showing up. BEing underage sux0rz.

Unless you're over 18, you won't find a decent job ever. Every place I applied at this summer rejected me. I'm what you would call, broke.

in nj its really hard to have a job at 15 because we cant drive or anything. If i still lived in ny, it would be so easy because you can walk or take a bus or train, and there are tons of businesses

I used to be a Gun Tech/Backup Ref.
Weekdays paid 7 an hour and weekends paid 9.50 an hour. Except I was a backup ref so I couldn't work as much as I wanted to. But I also got to play for free and free air. Only thing I had to buy was paint and I got it discounted.
I sure miss that field.

Gun tech would rock my socks. I just filled out an electronic app for Brooks. They didnt reject me. My brother used to work there but one of those giant isle signs fell on his face and sliced his whole face from the eyebrow to his lower lip. HE stopped working after that. Didn't sue and the scar is completely gone now.
MY aunt used to work at that same Brooks, and got transferred to Concord NH when she moved. Gonna see if she can maybe pull a few strings. They know my bro and my mom and my aunt.. So maybe I'll have a better chance. All I'd probably do is end up stocking or pushing carts. I don't mind either of those.

eh once you get a bit older youll wish you didn't have to work at all. Money isn't all its built up to be. A job most people can get is food service. youll get treated like crap make very little money but its work and pay. like pizza places mcdonalds that kinda stuff. also grocery stores. I worked for a year and a half at a fareway grocery and in the end I was a dairy manager did very little work and was making just under 9 an hour i was like 17 at the time. telemarketing is also a crappy way to make alot of money. If you have a good voice you can generally swoon people. I started working for quality telemarketing at age 15 and made alot of money doing it.

Sooner or later I'm going to need a job. Dont care abotu peopel saying to enjoy the freedom while I can etc. MY stepdads been out of work for months becuase of stomache surgery and my mom is tight on cash. I need to start pulling my own weight. No more asking mom for 30 bucsk for paintball admission or a couple bucks for the train or lunch. Its not fair for my parents to have to pay for everything for me. And on top of that, I'm a paintballer. I spend hundreds at a time.

Not only that, but every hour spent at work is another hour you don't need to spend entertaining yourself. Going to work itself curbs your expenses even before you get your pay-check. Which is both comforting and depressing, all at once.

Are any of your threads in the lounge NOT complaining about something or another?
Jeez please stop being emo, if i made threads about the stuff you did, id have over 10 new threads every 2 days.
At age 15, you could probably ref a youth sports league. I did that freshman through senior year in high school for basketball. you probably could do it too. good money.

Very encouraging.
Working isn't so bad if you can find the right job. I work as a 'supervisor' at a church. I sit in the office and do my school work 3 nights a week, and I pull in $200 every 2 weeks. Not the greatest money, but easier work is hard to find.

i need a job cause i cant have my parents give me money anymore, my brother is in college and its a little more important for his college than my 'cd money'. i want to work at shoprite, but i get so much homework and i dont want to stress myself out by having to work late, come home eat, work, shower, and then go to school again. im gonna try to find something simple and hours that arent long.

This is true, I started reffing soccer at 12, I got a $400 check at the end of the season. Not bad for 2 hours on Sunday for just 10 weeks. Can you say $23 an hour plus bonuses, off the books?

Reffing soccer is easy but boring as hell and the parents ***** non-stop, but the money is awsome. We get paid per game, so for one game being the center ref=$35, one game being assistant=$25. And like Rory said, off the books.
