I'm not sure if this is the right place for this thread or not, if not, sorry mod's.
Why do friends hate paintball?! I play paintball as much as i can, i read pb magazines, and do just about anything i can pb related. My friends, for the most part, hate it.
They think i'm A. Stupid
B. Crazy.
C. Stupid and Crazy. But alot of the girls really like the fact that i play pball (especially b/c i'm a quieter person at school, not because i'm not social, but because if i talk in class i will fail, gauranteed.) anyway, so only two of my freinds play paintball, and they've only played once, they said it hurt and have never played it again, and they both have nicer guns than i do! lol, are all friends like this or do my friends just suck?

Ask them if u can buy there guns, and make the price low since they aren't gonna play

find some other people and take them balling and if there not as sissy as your other friends then they will get hooked with you.

None of my friends really played paintball, but since i started i brought alot of them at seperate times, and almost every single one loved it. In fact 3 of my friends got guns. But they are still afraid of the ball (paintballs) sometimes.

well the problem is, the girls are scared of the paintballs, and they admit it, most of my other guy friends say that they arent scared of paintballs, they just dont want to get hit, which is completely bogus, they're scared. The ones that have played said they liked it but have never gone back, they mysteriously have plans the day we're supposed to go, they will agree to go, then back out the night before. I guess my friends are just sissies... *shrug*, i live in a small town, big school, not many pballers. In fact i dont know any from my school, i'm goin by myself tomorrow, unless i can get someone to go with me...
I need new friends.... My old ones suck...

man dude, all of my friends play, except one, who just plays guitar all day/night in his basement. he says it's a waste of money, even though he spends hundreds and hundreds of $$$ on guitars and the like. but yeah, take chicks. chicks love the game from what i've learned, after they get over the "but it's going to hurt!" phase.

Just tell them you're a huge pussy too, and if you don't mind the pain niether should they. Seriously though it doesn't hurt. Would so many people keep going back week after week if it hurt that bad, but if they honestly don't want to play, then there's really nothing you can say to convince them. No need to ditch your friends, just find some new friends to play paintball with, the paintball crowd is usually pretty friendly from my experiences, at least the ones that you would want to know. There's always going to be the people who think they are better than you because they have played longer/have a nicer marker than you, but then there's the sensible crowd who don't care who or what you are, they just love the game as much as you do and want to have a good time playing it.

lol yeah, they're not to brave, they never did anything to get to better bunker positions, didnt run far on the break, or anything, and they only played two games of speedball, then went and played woodsball, i stayed speedball with some dudes i didnt know, we had a pretty good time, i got owned with my slow stock tippmann, (i'm broke, couldnt upgrade, wouldnt anyway, savin money for a better speedball gun, any recommendations would be nice to lol.) but they never played again after that. Shrug, tomorrow i make paintball friends!

lol yeah, i wont ditch em, but i'll make some new friends who love pball as much as i do. I love this forum! ^.^

i got my friend to sell his spyder extra to me, he started at 50$, then 80$, now its at a 100$...i wont go any higher, the's puttin in the new barrel he bought for it to, i wasnt plannin on buyin a spyder as my next gun, but its got a better fire rate and accuracy than mine, so...watcha think?

A ton of my friends play, and most are in to it, but only have spyders and stuff. Only one person in school has a nice gun(classic timmy). All my friends think im retarded for buying an $800 dollar gun. One day its $800, $900 the next, and by the end of the week everyone's askin me why i spent $1000 on a gun. I just get pissed, its not like its there money, they shouldnt judge us like that. They've never played. They dont know what its like. Why should they think they should control what i spend, or judge me on it. Anyone else have those problems with as*hol**?

This girl in front of me (we're okay friends) in science class jokingly calls me paintball boy, mainly becuase my calculator and books are too agg for he rliking. Coered in PB stickers.

Anyways, I've gotted 2 of my friends into paintball, and trying to get more. Last year in JROTC they tried to tell me how dangeroud paintball is. HE's like "Any sport wehre you have a gun and have to sign a contract that says 'if I die my parents wont sue' has to be dangerous".

My general responce to stuff like that:

"Guns are used to kill people, damage them, or damage objects. Last tiem I checked, I've never damaged anyone, killed anyone, or broke anything with my paintball MARKER (stress that word).

Then I'll brign up safety statistics, and they can't believe how it can be true. I even printed up that huge statistical thing adn one of my friends was like

"That paper lied to me right there. IT says paintball is safe. YOu have to sign a waiver to play. Because it lied to me there, I wont believe the rest of it"

I just smiled, stopped arguing, sat down adn finished my lunch. I bet every kid on my football team comes home from a game/conditioning and is sore on their ass. One of my friends couldn't sit down becuase he cut his ass open. He had to sit on teh edge of the seat. When I come home from a paintball game, I just get uber cramps in my legs from squatingand crouching.

Just go without them.. it's their loss. The places you'll find people who like paintball are other contact sports. You'll find people who like to hit other people, and don't mind taking a few hits, are going to enjoy paintball a lot more.

As for spending loot on your gun.. cycle your gun and they'll understand. If they don't, use a car analogy.
