I just don't understand, men fight and put their lives on the line and their not paid well. Now look at this, famous athletics do a job they love and they make thousands of dollars. Yet they haven't show any dedication to America. What makes them so great that they are paid so well? I don't think it's fair that the people in the military are risking everything they have and their leaving their familys to protect us.

I totally agree with you. I wish they made more money and were more respected, but it's not the way our society works.

Athletes don't make thousands, they make millions. Look at A-Rod. He gets half a billion a year.

While your every day Jim that goes and risks his life for 6 months gets a medal or two and a little celebration when he gets home.

But look at the good side of being a soldier. It pays way more than sports ever can. How many times can Micheal Jordan say he helped millions of people become free? Fighting in the army pays you in ways money can't.

But yeah, soldiers don't get paid enough. But the higher ranking you are the more you get. But that also means your more of a target to enemies.

i dont know what to say. they volunteered for it. if you actually make a career out of the military and ascend the ranks you can make sub-uber buxxors. also you get mondo benefits even if you are the lowest class in the military and havent gont into battle yet. hey,

but....
I, along with every other American (with the exception of Michael Moore and douches of the like), have far more respect for our troops than an athelete. i could go on and on about the entertainment/sports industry and why it is far more profitable than the military, but im not. to long, and im to lazy. you get the basic idea though.

I agree,the reason sports athletes get paid more also is because athletes get paid privately not by the government,so whoever pays them cna pay them as much as they wan't pretty much.

Thanks to bush's money organizing skills thats the reason. The rich pay less and now even the veterans dont get paid. But to some people money isn't everything.

they are not paied much because there is a very vast amount of them...and if trained...anyone can do the job.

im sry to say it but anyone can be a soldier...its just a matter of being trained...however can anyone be trained to pitch a 95 mph fast ball and hit a point no bigger then a penny? nope. Thats why...cuz profetional athletes are so hard to find. you cant walk up to anyone on the street...give them a month to train for the NFL and put them as a corner back against randy moss....it just wont happen.
