A lot of people on this forum give off the impression that they think they are cooler than other members in real life, I am not going to name any names. Now I have no problem with that and they are probably right, but some of their comments regarding other topics contradict their behaviour occasionally.

My question is whether or not you would consider yourself to be "cool" in real life. My argument is that that if you spend so much time posting on an internet message board... how much of a social life can you have?

This is not in any way an attempt to attack anybody in any way, shape or form. This is simply an attempt to get a glimpse into the mind of the posters.

So, would you call yourself "cool" in real life, or are you just an average kid, or do you play dungeons and dragons every weekend?

i was cool. then I ****ed up in life and lost alot. Now im just middle of the line. Ill tell you im cooler than most people around. for the last year I have been waiting to go into the army..I can't do that untill im done with court for my **** up. Right now I just drive deliveries and sit around waiting for my girlfriend to get outa school or to go hang out with friends. Im on all night I drive alot of afternoon night shifts and thats about it. I used to go to college but I stopped thinking there was no way I could finish semester for spring before I could go to the army.

I wouldn't consider myself like the most popular guy in school, but I mean I got friends and a healthy social life and a progressive sex life. So I'm not gonna go around bragging but then again some D&D everquest/magic card nerd comes up and tells me they're the aggest thing since unimounts I'd definitely set them in their place.

I am boring as old paint.
Some kids think I am cool for being an old guy who still playes paintball, palyes electric guitars, and can talk intelegently about current vidoe game releases. Funny though how one of them isn't my 15 year old son - who thinks I am a dweeb.. LOL!...

Oh well... I save lives for a living.. Thats pretty cool to me.. Quite frankly the only person you have to be accountable to in the first place is yourself. If you don't like yourself, it really doesn't matter what the world thinks now does it.

I like myself.

Haha, I've got a lot of friends. I've got friends in a billion different groups. I'm in classes with all nerds so I got a bunch of nerdy friends, then I've got the friends I hang out with all the time who are the ones who play sports, but don't play them for school, then i've got skater friends, i've got gangster friends, and then i've got cool friends too. I like having a lot of different friends, because no matter what your not alone, or bored, because there is always a friend in a class or something.

But the friends I always hang out with, well they like to drink, because they have older brothers/sisters who like to drink. Since i'm not a drinker, thats when it comes in handy to have a bunch of friends. Nights they go and drink, I go hang out with other friends. Works out pretty well, plus since they drink we have a lot of senior/junior friends now so thats pretty cool hangin out with them.

I dont care what other people tink of me. At school most people like me, soem hate me. I'm a dick all the time and I never take things seriously, but when someone's in need or if the situation calls fr being serious, I'm your man.

I am definitely not too cool for school. I used to try and fit that mold, but it just eliminates too many options for me. I feel like in order to be a part of that group, you have to be too careful what you do. Sort of like Mean Girls, you can't wear sweatpants... only it is you can't play video games or some other ****.

I too have a large number of groups of friends, what bothers me is that I don't have what I would call a best friend. I just sort of drift around from group to group which can be fun, but it's nice to just have that one guy you can just show up at his place with a case of beer and watch Simpsons re-runs for hours.

I have been a member of just about every social group that was available when I was growing up. I have always been a jock, so I know all the athletes. I grew up playing different role playing games, which I promptly gave up right before high school, but which I now feel sort of bad about doing because I totally disowned a lot of really good people which I have recently managed to regain the trust of somehow. I am really grateful to have been able to make amends.

I fit in with the computer geeks because I love video games of all types. I fit in with the skaters because I grew up being friends with a lot of them and so I still hung out with them. I fit in with the academics because I have a very good mind for scholastic subjects. I just seemed to fit in everywhere. I even fit in with the 'cool' kids for a while until I stopped trying because that **** is boring.

I just like to play games and whatever group is playing a game I'll jump right in and play with them. Like Spud said, I am liked by many and hated by none. I would call myself well-liked, but never 'cool'.

Yeah i'm liked by all...except for the Chaldeans. I mean some of them i can get along with, but most are just d-bags.

Some people might consider me as "cool." But, I'm just a loser/nerd, I hang out with fools, and a fool who wheres a BK crown that says "King of the Losers" on it, maybe it's low self esteem :P.

Some people look at me as an average person, but I do play D&D on the weekends (good stuff), and I am on a computer 24/7, so you can label me with whatever you want, I could care less.

I'll drown about any emotion, so self esteem doesn't really effect me at all, I'm one of the most carefree people in the world, I'll get over anything in a few hours.
