well you would risk having the bolt pin fly out, because the back piece is what holds in the spring and ball bearing that keep the pin in place. im sure there is a way you could make it work, but i dunno if it would make that much of a difference. its already a really light bolt as it is. if anything, i think their would be more of a reduction in friction than anything.

iv dont this mod in psp mode and uncapped ramp. the pin didnt move at all so dont worry about it falling out. for a little added security you could but a few layers of teflon tape around the pin to make it fit a bit more snug in there.
