very good for the price and also what kind fo gun do your kids have? and how good are they and how good are you if your kids dont have that great of markers it will deffenetly deonate the field ""or backyard"" and if you dont know much about basic maintenence or how to keep up an elctonic paintball gun with eyes "i think the texas strom has eyes" correct me please of im wrong" and i would not sugest it as your first gun... you could probly get away with maintaing an ion but id go with a spyder or tippman but smart parts ion you could probly maintain for your first gun.... you can find a full marker package for about 300 on ebay a little less for a good-medocore hopper and about 300-320 for a good-pro hopper like halob and remeber with the texas storm you would want to run an halob or pulse on that for its high rate of fire so thats an extra 110 right off the bat so your probly beter off with geting the tank, ion, and hopper for around 300 and you could use the extra money to upgrade it and if you put some good upgrades... it easly shoot beter than the texas storm... with onlly about 80-130 investment ions are ment to resemble pro markers at an afforadble cost trully a great marker you can search on ebay smart parts ion and you will find alot of differnet deals such as the prices i mentiond above... and also how much will you be playing? that also effects what gun hope to here

then i think that the texas storm would be a good investment but as i said you would need some extra money for a good hopper such as a halob if you dont want to invest an extra 100 or so id get what your oldest sun has and upgrade it for around the same price and make it shoot very nice
