i was thinking the other day, i really like paintball and everything, but the costs are starting to bug me. its an ongoing thing. you NEED to pay a minimum of $65-70 just to play for one day of speedball(at my local field) with a case of paint, entry fee, and air. im going to be getting my liscense in a few months and car insurance will be $200+ a month, my phone bill is like $35-40 a month now, and in the schoolyear i only make about $70-80 a week. i can only afford to paintball about one time a month and not playing for such a long time really pisses me off. i like it and all, but im not as enthused thinking about playing as i used to. im looking into other hobbies that arent a constant expense also. im going to go play possibly one last time on august 7th to see if that gets me back into it. i watched a few paintball videos and it didnt really change much. its not that im not challenged anymore, i get mowed pretty much every game when i play walk on(i dont have good chances with freaking 20 vs 20 on a f-in 5 man field, grrr.). so i just dont know what to do?

while we're on the subject, how much do you think these would go for:

2k1 rf wgp cocker...
empire reloader...
crossfire 68/45 fiber wrapped tank... (only used once and still has 5 years til rehydro)
jt proflex goggles...
32 degrees 3+2 harness/belt and (5) 32 degrees pods...

im thinking maybe $380-400 for everything together... anyways, any help is appreciated.

WOW!

look at this you guys he's telling us that he's thinking about getting out of the sport and he's looking for support from us to keep him in it and all we can think about is if we can get his gear from him for a good price. I mean its like he's crying out to us that he's going to suicide and we just start looking through his stuff to see what kind of things we can get from his death.

Hey flatlander stay in the sport!! I mean come on do you really have to play every weekend?? I only play once a month if that!!! I don't play at all during the school year because I'm too busy, when I'm not in school I'm doing homework or working so I don't have time. Its not so bad just hang in there and maybe get a higher paying job.

^^^^if that don't keep you in I want to know how much you want for your nitro tank cause I really need one and I have a tight budget. I can offer you around $110 shipped give or take about $20

and to flatlander...if you are only making 70$ a week....get a new job man. Seriously, there has to be somewhere that you can work good hours and make more money. Dont get out of paintball, just get a new job...or find a way to sneak onto the field.

i didnt want this to be a b/s/t thread, but i have a good idea of what kinda $$$ i can get for my stuff though, thats half of what i wanted to know. ive been looking into electric rc cars. i used to have a nitro monster truck but that was amoney pit($20 a gallon for fuel and i broke it jumping stuff every week, i was out $2000 in about 4 months). im looking at on road 1/10 touring cars. not as costly, dont break as much, and i can race every other weekend for about $20.

ill update this thread in about 1-1/2 weeks to tell you if i changed my mind, if not then ill post a link to a b/s/t thread...

Yeh man just try to get out as much as possible. And besides, if you don't play for awhile it makes it just that much better when you finally do go play.

But if u do sell your stuff, ill give you my shoe for the gun and one of my toenail clippings for the loader

ha, tell me about it dude, i have one (T-maxx) Geez that gets expensive. And i was always breaking something too, lol, dont play w/ mine much anymore, but it was a blast when i had it running. Good luck w/ ur decision.

(btw, i think getting into touring cars would be sweet)

just take a break for a month or two, dont ditch your gun or anything, because somewhere youll want to play again, or go with a bunch of friends and youll want your gun.
