i'll agree with you that alot of noobs have it. too many noobs have it in fact. i see maybe 2 guys with ions over at the proshop getting their ions fixed everytime i go play.. and this is the day that they play (arent we all supposed to make sure that our guns are working before we head out

8/10 im likin the clear anno frame, but you should get the element 45* frame thats comin out, a foehn, and a new bolt. if you dont want to buy the foehn u should smooth the stock body.

I don't understand why people get so bent out of shape if someone DOES put more into the upgrades in the marker than the original price of the marker. To each his own - if you want to drop your hard earned money into something you enjoy, go for it. I did the same thing with my ION. Now I am using a DM5.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with an ION. Its a great starter tournament marker. It will teach you the basics of walking a trigger and how a high end marker should perform and feel.

If your ion breaks on you, its more than likely because YOU did something stupid or you haven't been taking proper care of it. ION's are tough little SOB's. I never had a problem with mine, not leaks, no blown seals, no complaints (except from those I bunkered with it).

No - its not a PLASTIC GUN - its just as sturdy as most other markers.

Bottom line is, some of these kids that are spoiled because mommy and daddy bought them the top of the line marker right off the bat are pissed because some NEWB took them out at the field with a $300 marker that shoots just as fast (legally) as as their DM, Timmy, Proto or whatever they are shooting.

NOW, since I hate it when people post crap on a RATE MY MARKER post without rating it:

I'd say 8/10
I know you like the silver frame and thats ok, but I have to agree with some of the others that the silver, black and red clash......maybe an aftermarket body in solid red and get a silver freak back.........IDK.........just a suggestion, not saying that it would look good, but it would match - lol
