My new woods toy
Originally, yes, this was a $300 or less marker - lol
Tippmann 98 Custom with Response Trigger
Double Trigger
BT 16 barrel
BT 6 position stock
BT adjustable sight rail
Cyclone feed system
OpsGear Raider M4 Mag kit
by the way........I'm really not a woods player, love my DM5 too much, but I figured if I'm gonna have a marker for the woods, go BIG.

9.5/10 Awesome realistic vibe. From a fellow woodsballer, very much my style. I like the clip.

Got the clip from OpsGear.com - it was a bit pricey, but I like the scenerio look

awesome 98, that mag looks big, but yet small for the space it occupies on a real gun... should of got a demon .50 cal magizine...lol they don't even make those, i don't think anyway..........they should if they don't.
asumner, you go BIG on everything, first gun was a ion, second was a dm5, now you got a kickass tip 98, i don't even like tippmanns very much...bad experiences. that's the third most *****in 98 i've ever seen, go to pbreview and search through the 98 c pics, they got some niceass 98s.
o yea, i should probably rate it now....9.5/10

well.............actually, the ion wasn't my first marker. I went through raiders, orions, stock spyders, e-spyders, and an A-5 before I got to the ion.
The ion didn't last long, I have to admit. Once I got it, I started up grading it, got it the way I wanted it, and to be quite honest, got bored with it. I shot a dm5 with a predator board in it and said I GOT TO HAVE ME ONE OF THOSE.......lol
So I bought the DM5 and after some research, decided to go with a THUMP tadao board. I wouldn't trade my DM for anything and the only readon I keep the Ion is because I have too much in it to sell it.
Now I just bought the 98 for woodsball.........I got invited to a 24 hour scenerio thing in Ga in December, so I wanted something kinda beast-ish, and this is what I got. But after all this, I just found out yesterday that I have to work that weekend.
Growing up and getting a job sucks - lol

Not feeling it. Your taking a gun designed after a Thompson and turning it into an M4. So now you have Thompson sights, as well as the M4 sights.
Should have a larger mag well for the magazine. The Magazine and well are too far forward,, or simply too small. M4 and M16 has magwell and magazine release right in front of the trigger frame. There is a large gap in this one.
Stock is fine, I always liked collapsing stocks on tippys. The size of the Tippman 98 is too small (as in the thickness of the reciever {wrong term but I'm used to using it}) This makes it look dissproportionate.
7/10 for using OpsGear (great folks)
5/10 for realism
7/10 for not being a stock tippman.
6.8/10 overall

I have to disagree with the MORON (GT3.MOW3D) about the "blender fed rifle"
The cyclone hasn't chopped a single ball yet..........works flawlessly and with the expense of a reloader and batteries, I figure I actually saved money by going with the cyclone.........
Next time you want to comment, if you aren't planning on actually giving the marker a RATING - stay off the RATE MY MARKER board.
And just a little bit of info...........its a MARKER, not a rifle, gun, machine gun, etc - NEWB!!!!!!!

AND THANKS GUYS FOR THE HONEST ANSWERS - I do respect those that don't care for woodsball markers, or scenerio markers.........
As for ARMOARCHANGEL's comment.........I wasn't really going for realism..........I looked at the M16 mag on Opsgear.com and it was just too big........If I want to acheive realism, I'll just bring my other paintball gun...........its M1 Garande.........shoots 2000 fps - lol - thanks for the comment though.

no - seriously.............I was referring to my M1 garande as a "paintball marker"........its actually a real WWII military rifle.........lol
but you don't want to know how much I have in this 98........lets just say I could have bought a used DM4 or upped Proto for this........

That would look a lot better if you ditched the hopper and microcapped the cyclone.
Or use a Ricco R5 hopper. That looks alot like my buddies A5.
8.5/10
Needs a 42mm red dot on top of that rail.
