Tippmann 98 Custom (Trust me. It's not stock)
Ok, before I get to the specs and pictures I just want to say: I know we all think tippmanns are gay, I know we all agree that we should throw them out and get Angels and Timmies and the such. Well that's not going to be happening with me. I'm poor as ass. I bought this gun and bought the upgrades and paint costs and air costs with my own chore and errand money. Nothing from the pic came from my parents wallets, and they would rather die than fund my paintballing. *I'm exxagerating*
Well whatever. Onto the gun:
Tippmann 98 Custom
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Specs:
Black to Red home-made paintjob
Rear Cocking System
LAPCO Drop Forward
DYE Sticky Grips
GTA Double Trigger
GTA Response Trigger
14" CMI Tru-Flight Barrel
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Before you ask: I was not sure whether I was going to stick with Recreational Woodsball or Tournament Style Speedball. So you may think it's wierd I have a bright red paintjob and all this Woodsball upgrades like the Response Trigger.
+=+=+=+Tippmann 98 Custom Picture+=+=+=+
More pictures will be put up. The image host I was using just quit out on me and claims to be on maintenence.
Well, this is all I'm putting for right now. Please rate accordingly and honestly.

I could think of 5 people on the forum who are gonna ask why you put that much money into a tippmann.
Looks like a solid woodsball gun. 9/10

Hmm... I'm gonna make a few points. I'm not flaming.
1) Personally that anno is ugly as ***t
2) You have your RC guard upside down....not too attractive. You should have gone with a Full Boar Shadow. It is MUCH cleaner.
3) That drop is the ugliest thing I've ever seen. It doesn't flow with the gun at all.
Aesthetics: 4/10 lose the drop, correct the guard, i hate that anno
Ups: 7/10 RT is a good choice
Function: 8/10 Good woodsball gun, can't see the anno helping in the woods tho...
Overall: 5.5/10

I realize that. But it's somewhat a pain trying to cock the thing with that little nub.
And as for the paint job. Hey it was made by me, and it was my first one I did. I think it's crap too, but at least I tried it.

Hey>. You rich@XX pros.:-) Us poor@XXnoobs have to start somewhere. :-)
I am only saying this because, I just bought my son and I a 98 custom tippmann.
After everything I got him the final price was over 400 bucks. Thank god the pro shop I bought it from gave us a key chain that will let us get 3 bucks off game price and a % off paint balls. I figure after he plays 100 times it'll pay off the gun in savings.
So rate my gun :-) its a brand new 98 custom tippmann, camo colored ,stock, most importantly still in the box.But did buy him a 20oz tank with a cord for the tank to be on his back.Less weight for him to carry.I haven't found or haven't seen a holster for any but one of these guns or I would of gotten him one of thoes as well.
Yeah, I know my boy is spoiled, but for ten years old he works in the summer doing lawn care.Last summer at age 9 he was carring about 30 4x4x12 ft posts on his own about 30ft to work site.

Q?
Is the rear cocking system necessary and/ or does it improve performance in anyway?

Not really, it only covers up the side slot (keeps dirt out). I had a Full Boar Shadow on mine. It made the gun a little heavier, but it looked a whole lot better than what he has.

One thing i don't understand is why did you get a double trigger and a response trigger. I see that as kind of a waste of money.

Because you just need to hold the trigger down when he have a response trigger so whats the point of having a double trigger?
