Keep the drop forward. Its your gun, your comfort, dont feel like you need to get in on the new fad of not having them. Im waiting for them to come back into style.....they will eventualy, then theyll phase back out....
9/10. It would be nice to see a different trigger frame maybe.

Even though this is an old thread that was brought back, I'll still rate.
8.5/10.
QEV, lightning bolt or firebolt, element v2 or sith frame.

yea, i wouldn't suggest spray painting those quick release elbows that connect the macro to the reg or the other way around, it comes off soo easily, even if you sand it and put anything on it to make the paint connect... i've used a tank that big, and i respect you for keeping one, i had to go with my 70/45 much smaller and i dont need a drop - but i totally understand why you're keeping the drop! i was wondering though, what kind of qev's are you usin? either way, it's a sweet marker! i'd give it a 8.68/10.1 for an ion!

5/10 its still an ion... with all the money u spent on that gun u could've gotten a better gun. It still looks like plastic to me and for that price range a promaster would've been better.

ya holy crap this a really old thread... ill post some new pics eventually ive added a firebolt and a red CP shorty regulator... and for the record i do like my drop and i think that its totally preference.... paintball "experts" have had drop forwards in and out of style since paintball was pretty much invented... it varies all the time what is "in" and what is "out" i just like my gun the way it is

this is how i look at it..... i would rather have a completly tricked out mustang with body kit, sounds system, badass engine, upgraded everything..... than have a completly stock porsche..... personally i think that there isnt mush difference between an angel and a really upgraded ion........ most tournaments only allow 15-17 bps anyways.... i know that ions arent very high end guns but i like it better than i would a stock promaster

first off you can't compare cars and paintball guns. ions looks like **** period. they may be as good as a stock promaster if u up EVERYTHING but when u up the promaster it will be better (the promaster is a higher end gun than the ion). You can fully up a promaster for a lot less than an ion.
