ill repeat what someone else has said a few times, its the price of the gun before all of the ups and custom stuff.
Some of you guys are jerks. instead of saying, what a waste of money and **** like that try "you spend more money than i would of spent but hey, if you like it and its worth it to you, than cool". anyways, nice custom gun

The only arguement that even makes sense here is that he wants an 85* frame. Well then, get an Alien or an 06 speed. Either would have been cheaper, better quality, and just as good performance at least if not better.

whats inferior quality exactly. Name the parts that are not made just as well as those on a shocker, and what justification you use to claim that.

1) The general design of the Ion is extremely stupid, since you must take the entire gun apart to get to the bolt assembly, which needs to be accessed fairly regularly since it's a psuedo spool valve.
2) You're right, they're just as good quality as shockers. Except shockers are poor quality... every SP gun have all been plagued with design flaws, and more recently very poor quality materials and parts. (Before all you shocker owners attack me, know that I'm actually a fan of them. I just can't stand how finnicky they are.)

I can agree with the bolt, ant THAT was my point in asking(the comparison to shockers). To many people talking about there shockers"owning" ions, yet the quality and design are similar, if not identical(as far as quality).
I guaranteed that if SP had come out with an all metal bodied, vert framed gun like the one presented here, hadnt advertised it as "low end", Hallf the threads in this post wouldnt exist.

I believe you mean "half the posts in this thread wouldn't exist."
If he had bought such a theoretical gun mid-end/high-end gun, then that would be the end of the story; it wouldn't need any more upgrades, that's pretty much the entire point of high-end guns. So, yes, such comments would never have been posted...
...but, it's still irrelevant. That is not the situation. The situation here is that he bought a $200 gun (or $285 depending on when he bought it), and spent over a grand in upgrades which plainly put, is stupid. If he has actually played with other high ends and in fact prefers this, then that's great; he has found the ultimate for his tastes. However it's pretty clear the most experience he's ever had with current high ends is at best shooting them in the chronograph booth/target range/whatever you like to call it, and did not make a wise choice.
tldr: My opinion that this project is stupid remains unchanged, and will remain unchanged.
I'm so sick of these arguements; I think I'm going to take a long break from the rate my gun section.

pretty cool, looks kinda like an ugly freestyle,
9/10 get a strange body so u can access the bolt more easily, and it might make it look nicer too, oh and
you'll be able to get 300 for that TOPS if you sold it, so.. sucks for you

That is different, pimping out old school guns is a fun project. This however is no different than spending $1000 on upping a spyder.

lets see what guns ive owned....
alias, dm4, ecocker(hated it more than anything)< had an angel for almsot a week and sold it, and i ahd a shocker for a while, and I;ve sot pretty much every high end gun out there. The truth it i really prefer this more than enything. Ive never actually had to take the bolt in the year that I've owned it so I guess i really dont need easy bolt access.
drktamer could you please leave my thread and keep you haterness toy ourself and stfu

if i "pimped it out" i would have used a lot of different upgrades and it would be a lot better. trust me.
should have boughten a v2 instead of a v1.
should have boughten virtue instead of blackheart.
should have boughten stage 5 instead of whatever body you have.
should have boughten a 2liter instead of the cp.
should have gotten a stiffi instead of the ul.
its not even the fact that you upgraded it beyond belief, its just the fact that it could be so much better with the money you spent. granted id rather have a some other gun for the price, but you should have gotten those, instead of jumped the gun and bought the upgrade because it was the only one on the market for that week.
p.s. drktamer >>>>>> you. he knows a lot more than you, as do i.
